They seem to have atleast two managers. One of which is lovely but the other, not so much. The tall lady with the black hair who I believe is one of the managers is really quite rude. I’m a regular and come once a month and I’ve yet to have a good experience with her. She makes things difficult for no reason, for example I came to the bar to order food with my 3 month old baby and didn’t note my table number, she acted like she didn’t know the numbers and couldn’t serve me until I walked back to the table, noted the number and then came back to the bar to order (with baby) she has worked here for long enough so I find it hard to believe she doesn’t know the table numbers or have a chart of some sort. Also, I had a baby and she didn’t offer to look for me despite it being myself and two other tables in the whole restaurant. I honestly dread ordering when I walk in and see her at the bar. The other manager however is lovely, polite and seems to go down great with customers. Maybe the big woman with black hair could work on her attitude or maybe look for a new career that isn’t customer facing because she has a weird way of making you feel...

We managed to get a table on a Thursday night okay. The menu was quite comprehensive and offered food at a good price. The food came out within 20 minutes and my own meal was lovely. Unfortunately my wife's meal had issues. She had ordered the full English breakfast and the bread that came with it was rock hard and the baked beans had a thick skin on. It was clear that her meal had been left under a heating lamp or grill to keep warm. After we caught the waiter's attention and asked for fresh, he returned within a minute with a fresh slice of bread and more beans. The beans though looked suspicious. The pot was exactly the same and the beans were really watery, leading us to believe that all they did to fix the beans was add we hot water! They tasted awful for it! Food aside, the drinks we had were lovely as we both sampled the cask ales on offer. We would return but just be careful...

I regularly visit the Lyppard for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is great and the prices are amazing! The sizzlers are unmatched to what Ive ever come accross before! The staff are great at keeping the placd clean and tidy, although the decor has a few blemishes that could be taken care of. The pool table is great for a game, has a fairly new gambling machine, and a £1 toy dispenser for the littlest family. A decent covered smoking area and picnic table area with good fencing and confident squirrels for a touch of nature. (They like to make fun of the cat) could do with a slide or swing set just to make the place a little more family orientated up to 9pm. The toilets are always clean and smell fine. Generally the people that visit respect the presence of children and ladies, so I have not experienced foul language. I genuine please to visit. Fully recommended for...

I have eaten here about 15 times. Food generally takes 40 minutes to 1 hour to arrive, even when they’re not at all busy. They usually apologise and act like it’s out of the ordinary. Some things are regularly burnt (like burger buns, chicken wings) and other things are always undercooked (soggy onion rings). Other things are actually very nice (such as the gammon), so it’s completely hit and miss. Portion sizes are also very inconsistent. Value is good (especially 2 for £10.50 deal which includes fish and chips!).

Really good priced food, and good quality. Did take long for food and drink to arrive either. It is a dog friendly pub only in the bar area. There is a lovely outdoor area and beer garden. Very popular the evening we went. There was a football match on the tv's in the bar area.
