Chips Inc — Restaurant in Worthing

Oh dear what a shame I have to write this but in all my reviews I have to be honest. this place was recommended for me to try and well what a let down really not good at all. ok let's get into it I walked into the shop took a while to even get a hello from the girl serving, or though one of the gentleman that works there seemed to be more friendly. I ordered large cod chips and some kid's meal's the cod was the only thing that seemed to be fresh the chips were absolutely dreadful I mean come on guy's it's so frustrating it doesn't take a lot to have some fresh chips going in a fish and chip shop!! these chips seem to be stale you could tell they have been flash fried, just cook a fresh lot of chips please!! they were so hard dry and well no potato inside like I say dreadful, the girl asked me 3 times would I like salt and vinegar when I unwrapped them to my absolute shock no salt and vinegar on the chips at all that's one of the things that I love about fish and chip shops that marinated salt and vinegar on the chips when you unwrap them but these were completely plain they forgot to put the salt and vinegar on 😞. I also ordered curry sauce it was absolutely disgusting it was old been sat around it was all congealed around the Top when I took the lid off and it just tasted horrible. So to summarise this place was definitely a disappointment the only thing that was nice was the cod a massive disappointment maybe they were just having an off day who knows shame it was on my visit if I'm honest...

This has always been our 'go to' place for fish and chips but just lately the standards have definitely slipped. Tonight we had 3 x Senior huss and chips - the fish looked absolutely huge until we cut into it and found it was nearly all very thick batter - it actually looked like it had been battered twice. Once inside the batter we found very little fish and what we did find was so dry and chewy it was inedible. (It may even have been reheated from lunch - that's how dry it was). I did ring them to complain and told them I would be posting a review. Not sure if we would use again...

This is absolutely and undoubtedly the best fish and chip shop in the area. No other chippy has come close the the quality of food served by Chips Inc. The chips are always absolutely spot on, golden and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The savaloy is absolutely perfect and fresh every time. And the cod is absolutely unreal. I'm very harsh when it comes to a chippy but I genuinely can say, hands down, this has to be one of the best places to go for for miles.

Would absolutely recommend to anyone that wants consistent quality...
