The Verandah cafe — Restaurant in Worthing

Went for a coffee, what an experience I approached the counter to order and was totally engorged for 5 mins although there were three staff standing around propping up doors. Eventually I was told very off hand to take a seat and someone would take my order. Ordered coffee and tea which came promptly I glanced up at the blinds in the window as you do and they were filthy, looking around me the surfaces were dirty the floor has not seen a mop for weeks there was mild growing around the window probably due to the damp ? Lovely friendly helpful staff, always cheerful. Very relaxed and happy atmosphere, good for groups and lone visitors alike. Consistently delicious, plentiful and interesting food, fantastic selection of coffees & lovely cakes! They serve alcohol too. Good clean accessible toilet facilities, yes it's a small place but very accessible for disabled people. The coffee here is lovely . You can sit outside if the weather permits and there is a very good varied menu . Breakfasts , lunch time specials and cakes , are all good . In addition there is now a permanent extension to the front. It has a retractable roof and sides so you can enjoy the late and early summer sun without sitting in the cold wind.
