Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Worthing

Rude staff, no customer service, the man making coffee was swearing and slamming things around, the girl on the till was rude and unhelpful - no Christmas / plain gift cards available after queuing for ages. The kitchen / coffee area was FILTHY! (Chose not to get myself a drink and just got the drink my client asked for) The guy shouting out the drink (wrong drink) so I said no need to be rude, he then started arguing with me saying when was I rude…. When in all seriousness had been rude and miserable the whole duration I was in the shop! So after queuing for 20minutes, I came away with the wrong drink for my client, only one of the 3 gift cards I needed, no gift receipt, no drink for myself due to how dirty it was and fuming after the lack of customer service demonstrated! Really lovely team in the Goring Rd branch, always cheerful and helpful when I see them, even when the queue is out the door and around the corner :-) Great range of drinks, good selection of non-dairy milks - try a mocha with almond milk.(throw all diet-based caution to the wind and go with the extra indulgent toppings too :-) ) I avoid the cakes etc, they are quite expensive so that makes it easier, and I am now low-carb, but I have enjoyed a Sicilian lemon muffin and the 70% dark chocolate is worth it for an energy boost. Just popped in to get a cake for my granddaughter. After standing in front of the counter for some time, the member of staff behind the counter decided to look at me and, obviously assumed I was a mind reader because he didn't even speak. I asked if the gift card I had was valid to which he replied 'we can't take them'. He was totally disinterested in me. My granddaughter chose a muffin which a different member of staff bagged up for me and I paid her. Seriously won't be visiting the shop...
