Worthing Fisheries Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Worthing

I’ve been coming here for years and I appreciate, with Coronavirus, things are difficult for everyone, but as this has now happened several times and way before Covid19, this is an appropriate review

The food here is usually very good, I have no complaints regarding this at all, but I have to ask the blinding obvious question, why are people allowed to order ahead of collection, but then have to wait?

I order food today at 5:15pm for collection at 6:30pm so an hour and 15 mins early

I arrived at 6.28pm, there’s a huge queue outside and it’s raining

I ring and ask if my orders ready and can I come in to collect it

“No sorry you will have to join the queue”

I ask politely what the point is of being able to order ahead of time if I have to join the queue

“Because you ordered a Huss and it has to be cooked”

Obviously an hour and 15 mins notice is long enough?

Sad to say that with a response like that an an attitude in the voice, you’ve now lost my custom

It’s not the first time this has happened either sadly. We usually collect the food on the way through to friends, so order ahead to make sure it’s ready, the last time I waited in the shop whilst it was all cooked, so again the blindingly obvious question, why was the order not ready?

I honestly thought given what’s going on and the amount of money lost during this time that customers would be important,...

It's right on the roundabout. There is parking down the road with a little walk back . As I entered there was about 6 to 7 people waiting. However I was served my fish and chips very fast as they have 3 staff looking after you. The others were waiting for different orders. So don't be put of by a lot of people waiting. To me that's a good sign . We then drove to Goring beach and eat a wonderful meal . I ordered 2 regular cod and chips We already brought our tins of coke at Aldi. So fish and chips and drinks for under £13 in total amazing value . Loads of free parking at beach front . Go down toward beach from chip shop turn right just b4 beach front follow road drive about 1 mile you will see a wonderful green on left free parking right on sea front. I went to the shop this evening and I am a regular customer.The young blonde lady greeted with me you here for a delivery.She made a generalisation that I was a just eat delivery driver .she has done this a few times to me .I find this very wrong and and insulting that due to my ethnicity i am a working for just eat .I called in to complain and asked to speak to the Owner .She said it was her...I know this to be untrue as i know the owners .So she is pretending to be the owner will be taking this complaint further and making sure that this racist business does not have my custom no longer .really disappointed.I do hope the owners will read this and...
