I really wish I had read the reviews before I agreed to get the kids a KFC - avoid. No food and a really terrible experience both online and in-store.
I placed an order to this store at 5.45 pm using the official KFC app which said to expect the food in 10-20 mins. The order was shown as pending, waiting for a delivery driver for well over an hour with the expected arrival time just ticking forward constantly. I called the number on the app at 7.30pm as the kids were getting very restless and hungry. The order was then updated to 'cancelled' whilst I was waiting (for 15 mins) to speak to someone. When I got through I was given no explanation and told to wait 15 days for a refund. I asked if there was a complaints process as it was a poor experience, and was told there wasn't one. The kids still insisted they wanted a KFC so we then went to the store and couldn't place the same order at the terminal as the offers weren't available, so I went to the til and waited ages for someone to acknowledge me (the store was incredibly busy and chaotic). I asked if I could place the same order, explained the story, and showed the receipt. They said no and there were some online only deals, and they wouldn't replicate it. I explained that wasn't satisfactory, and I felt they should honour it given the mess they made of the online order. They said they'd check with the manager. After 30 seconds came back and said 'don't worry, the manger says you will get a refund '. I explained I knew and that wasn't my question, and they had no reply and shrugged. I gave up and said they wouldn't be having any money from us, we would go elsewhere. As we were leaving a couple of people said not to bother, as they'd been waiting 40 mins for their order in store. Read moreWe asked for three sprites. All of them came back as plain, FIZZY WATER, with no flavoring whatsoever. Both me and my brother went to take a nice refreshing drink and spat it out immediately. I've never been so outraged!!! The chips were stone cold, and the burger I ordered had stringy bacon (99% fat) and the only piece of chicken in it was so small you'd have to use a microscope to see it. Along with the 'chicken' came some VERY hard, crunchy, 'impossible to bite' things which I never identified. It was like putting bones into your mouth. Maybe they were. There was a thick sauce covering everything, so strong I wouldn't have known if the chicken had been beef. The couple of lettuce leaves shoved under the bun were brown, not just from the sauce, and apart from all that we had to queue for ages. My sister's oreo crushem was filled barely to halfway. The small car park at the back was filled with reckless drivers and delivery men almost reversing into the back of you. I will never be going back...
Read moreI never complain about these sort of things but after how my night went it is necessary that I do complain! I used to love KFC but the past 2 times I have had it, I have had problems. This time round I had ordered it through JustEat and they forgot sauces, which I paid extra for, they gave us beans instead of gravy and they gave me the wrong burger. I called them up to sort out the problem which they said they'd get right onto and bring everything that they missed or got wrong over. My younger sister and I waited for 45 minutes for a phone call back saying it was sort, which they promised me they'd do, and we had nothing from them. So we decided to just eat what we had. After realising how horrible the food was I ended up throwing the food back up and woke up a few times throwing up. And that is all I ate yesterday! This KFC has gone right downhill and I won't be spending my money...
