I've been reading other reviews of this place. Especially the ones on JustEat. I must say I am extremely surprised of what a person's idea of curry is. Firstly, I am Pakistani. I grew up with this food so you could say I'm an expert on how it should look and taste. Good lord the amount of times I have rolled my eyes at curries that have been put in front of me. 🤦 Sometimes I just can't believe that these basterdised versions are considered authentic. And what makes me laugh more are the reviews that talk about curries being too spicy. Well let me educate you a little. Indian/Pakistani curries are hot.... always! Don't kid yourself to thinking otherwise because anything else is not really authentic. Almost every curry house in the whole of England is pretty much serving a westernised version. That version is mild like korma and contains mostly undercooked chunks of onion. This chunks of onion is just baffling to me. Not something my mother ever served me. On the few occasions you come across a place that is serving something authentic like Lahore grill. Now this is food that tastes like home to me. Not even home rather, more like fresh from Pakistan. So ladies and gents if you don't like this sort of curry then you simply don't actually like curry and that which you do like is not curry my friends. That is just some overrated concoction. Please don't call that curry. The other thing is genuine curry comes on the bone. And the reason for this is to draw out the juices. However British people don't want to be served meat on the bone so I guess this is already missing the point. The person at this restaurant is doing the very best he can by trying to please everyone without ruining authentic flavours. For me he gets five starts all the way. Excellent Excellent curry. I'll admit pricey or i would order all the time but so worth...
Read moreI was in Worthing for a few days and come diner time i started to google looking for an kebab and curries place. After a 30 min drive i found this place and headed over.. service was friendly .the chef took my order as it was late in the evening . He asked me if id like my food spicy or medium which was nice cause i like my food spicy but not too much. The food was amazing. I had orded a mixed kebab and it was delicious. Price was very reasonable too. I eat out quite a bit due to travelling around for work and being Asian i know my curries very well! After my meal i had a chat with the head chef and he told me how all the food was was freshly made- even my salad was lovely!! definitely recommend this place for authentic Indian curries and kebabs!! Im in Worthing for the next 4 days and ill be coming here...
Read moreHands down best takeaway for authentic-tasting Pakistani/Indian food in Worthing. Here you go, foodies. Can be quite spicy, but don”t be frightened! Freshest, most fragrant, Indian-style food in town. The aloo tiki (potato patties) are addictive and so is the chick pea dish channa massala. Whether it’s chicken, lamb or aubergines, it’s always beautiful. We pick various new things each order. This time it was the cauliflower paratha (wow!). Always tastes homemade and delicious. Have only ever used takeaway as it appears small but there are a few tables. Am eager to try the breakfast menu one weekend… The competition ( e.g. Mahaan) only wins on premises appearance and atmosphere. This place should be number 1 in Worthing for food in the category, it is the best. Deserves top rating and greater recognition for...
