We had such a lovely meal here while staying at the hotel next door. The restaurant itself has a casual, family-friendly feel that reminded me of American chains like Olive Garden, with plenty of seating available. We visited on a weekday (Sep 10, 2025, around 3 pm) and were pleasantly surprised to find a lunch fixed menu: £14.99 for 2 courses or £16.99 for 3 courses, with the option to choose either starters or dessert for the 2-course option. We ordered fish & chips (haddock), chicken, breaded mushrooms, and a brownie (to go). The food was excellent — large portions, very fresh, and full of flavor. The fish was fresh, the chips light, the chicken tender, and the mashed potatoes perfectly creamy. Much better than I expected given the average reviews online! On top of that, they offer an unlimited salad bar with a wide variety: pasta salads, coleslaw, beets, olives, cucumbers, potato salad, and more. It really adds great value to the meal. Service was wonderful as well — our server was so kind and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we loved everything about this restaurant and will definitely return. Highly recommend!

A great friendly welcome to a restaurant obviously following all Covid rules of the moment. The car park was a little problem to negotiate as the laying snow covered all road, and bay markings. I make the small point only as a disabled driver! We were taken to our table very quickly and our order complete with drinks and salad bar were quickly noted. The food was all delivered very efficiently and despite being quite busy there was little waiting time. (The photo shows just how empty it became about 6.30pm as we were leaving For some reason we were greeted at the door with a printed list of about 12-15 items that were now ‘Not Available’ almost all were portions used in the main courses. There were very few chicken mains available and no steak options. This severely limited any choice of food for us all but especially for my wife who is celiac - gammon steak - or not. Fortunately it was a wonderful lean piece of meat cooked to perfection. Lucky!

Haven't been for a few years since we moved, and never had a bad meal. So we popped over for lunch. Plenty of parking. No problems to be seated. The waitress came over in good time, enough to look through the menu. Ordered drinks & food, Original Combo & Half a Rotisserie Chicken. They gave us the salad bowls (free with main dishes). Nice fresh choice of salad, pasta, bread rolls & sauces. Drinks were brought over, while we started on the salad bowls. Almost through the salad bowls and the main dishes were brought over. Fresh & hot. As I had a free refills soft drink, I could go up to the drinks despenser, and choose from a variety of soft drinks, with ice. Asked if our meals were ok, plenty of nodding our end, as we had a month full! Lol. We couldn't do desserts so got the bill. Again no messing or long waiting. We will have to go again, as we quite missed a Harvester experience 👍

We visited today just after midday for a celebratory lunch as part of our 50th wedding Anniversary today. When ordering our meals I was asked if anyone had any allergies so I said yes. They asked what and I gave a list of my wife’s allergies but pointed out that there’s was nothing in our choices that would cause an issue and having been together for over 50 years I knew that we were quite happy about anything that they were serving. They said they need my wife’s name but when I asked what difference that would make they said it was company policy. We have never been asked that before at a Harvester or anywhere else come to that.I then asked again why I needed to give out personal details at which point your staff member called in another staff member.I’m not sure if that was a manager or supervisor but I suspect it was one of those. She reiterated your policy at which point I even offered to sign a waiver to say we were aware of your policy and eating at our own risk but that too wasn’t good enough. When I said I would leave if we had to do that they just reiterated and said sorry it was company policy. So I told 5hem we were leaving and did so without eating.I offered to settle the bill for drinks but that was waived.I have no particular complaint about the staff only the policy that they were being forced to apply.I even said If I had lied you would have served me anyway and I said would do that next time but after this experience that is now extremely doubtful Even the police won’t demand my name unless I’ve actually broken the law so why you think your company has the right to demand that and not serve us if we don't is beyond me.Thankfully we found elsewhere to eat at Miller and Carter in Bromsgrove ,without a third degree interrogation about allergies just excellent service with a delicious meal in really pleasant surroundings. We will definitely be going...

Found this a disappointing experience.

Good bits- enjoyed the food. Really nicely decorated and cosy for Christmas.

Bad bits- Waited over ten minutes to be seated. This was just after 5pm so the place had hardly any customers. Staff could see me but no response presumably as ‘not their area’. I understand if they are busy but just an acknowledgment that you are there and waiting would be appreciated. Another ten minute wait to take order. Different colour wine than what I had ordered arrived but I didn’t mention since it had taken so long to served!

Mentioned I wanted to use blue light discount when seated and ordering and told no restrictions. When it came time to pay, I produced my card but was told I needed to produce a qr code. Tried to login to blue light website but wouldn’t load as WiFi in harvester was poor. Asked if I could step outside to use WiFi and told no as I was eating on my own. Asked again and asked to go and find manager who would be ‘at the bar’. Told the one lady at the bar that I had come to speak to him and I was told that he was in the kitchen and can’t come out. So I told her I was stepping out and finally was able to access WiFi, download a qr code and pay. A complete palava for what I had hoped would be a quick meal at the end of a long day travelling. If you are going to take the card, why on earth not accept the physical card? I came here especially because of the blue light discount, and the basic prices...

I dont normally write reviews but felt this time i had to. Staff friendly but meal awful. 6 of us went to celebrate 2 birthdays. We had the set menu deals. Garlic mushrooms were overcooked and hard but we put up with them as came literally just before mains so had them together. Sweet potatoes were black so sent back next lot OK. Some red areas undercooked on rotisserie chicken so just ate the bits that were clearly cooked well. Didnt want to send meal back and eat after others. Few of group had BBQ chicken stack coujons overcooked. Sweetcorn watery and vile taste. Waitress said they had lots complaints about sweetcorn so why don't they do something about it? The salad bar had no pineapple, bacon bits or onion bits. They did stock up on other stuff when we asked. No butter and when came had been thawed in microwave and like water. No wafers for ice cream. Bill wasn't working out due to way put on system and discounts taken off. We divided it between 3 couples. All got a bit of a mess. Some salad and other bits of meals fine and one ofnus ehad rack of ribs which was nice. Waitress lovely, helpful.and friendly and tried really hard. Won't be going...
