Mendi Restaurant — Restaurant in Wychavon

Our first visit, as a family, to Mendi Restaurant of Droitwich. We went on the recommendation of a friend and after seeing the positive reviews left across the internet. This was one of those occasions where you really have to ask yourself, "why have I not been here before?" The end to end experience at Mendi was simply exceptional and without fault. We booked the day before and this was easy as well as straightforward. On arrival we parked in the customer car park at the rear of the building and this was well lit as well as clean. The welcome we got when we walked in was just like coming home to a dear family member who we had not seen for ages. Once comfortably seated, the excellent table service commenced. Our starters arrived swiftly and were delicous. Following a perfectly timed gap, our main courses came and were cooked to perfection. In addition, some of the family asked for "tweaks" to their food and Mendi's excellent chef happily obliged. Our time in Mendi came to an end all to quickly and after paying a very reasonable bill, we were sent on our way as friends of the Mendi family, not as customers. Mendi is a real gem of a restaurant, serving excellent food at very reasonable prices. Combining all of this with truly outstanding service, made my Mother's 79th birthday a perfect experience. Well, where do you start when you are doing a u turn, on a life of meat obsession..........

This place is, as the kids say these days ‘peng’!

I was, to be fair, dragged here by an enhusiastic friend who is a big fan, and I joked that I could be persuaded but only if I could bring my own package of cooked meat to ensure that I was ‘fulfilled’.

We walked in, and were given the most authentic welcome by the most enthusiastic hosts, we were talked through the menu including how the various vegetarian options, worked in th absence of meat, and how informed we felt.

We chose carefully, with help, and were not disappointed. I can honestly say after 37 years of meat and Indian Worksop, this was amongst the best curries I have ever had, and I didn’t miss the chicken or lamb one bit. Really. Genuinely.

If you want proper hospitality, and authentic food, put this place on your bucket list.

Oh, and did I mention, we travelled 150 miles to get here.

What a lovely experience!! I don't have words for it.

We were travelling from Wales to home, wanted to have something homely on route as we were reaching late. On Google search this popped up and fortunately it's vegetarian only restaurant.

I am happy about this restaurant is not only food but about positivity vibes. They are making fresh home made food. All served with hygienically good portion size.

Ambience is so pure and I say homely. And there us story behind it, that lovely lady I shared in photo. She is doing this restaurant business because she wants to keep her home memory alive. Her house she turned in restaurant and looking all customer as her own guests at home. I loved that hospitality and affectionate behaviour.
