We stopped in Droitwich for a lunch stop on way to see family. Nelly's yard looked pleasant from the outside. Three young women behind the counter, hesitantly friendly, possibly nervous . Not sure if they own it or were new to the working environment. Disappointing to see crumbs on the seat next to where we sat from earlier users, crumbs which were ignored for the whole of our lunch( and possibly still there as we drive away) despite one or two of the young women standing round. Tea was extremely watery despite being left to steep( perhaps how tea is drunk in droitwich?). My husbands sausage sandwich was good although the bread quality was poor. I had baked potato beans and cheese( with a hefty salad??) Whilst I like a crisp jacket, cinder toffe hard was a new experience, I couldn't eat it all.Salad lovely good quality and fresh. At no time did any of the young women, come to see how food was, which is normal practice in most places. Portion size rather large for me seemed to be a whole large tin of beans. Others enjoyable. Music rather loud, personally felt it spoilt the ambience. Generally satisfactory but with a bit more attention to detail further stars achieved. No one person appeared to...
Read moreIt calls itself a cafe, but doesn't actually have a kitchen only a small range of options, none of which were the breakfast I was looking for. I had to settle for a couple of sausages poached eggs and bacon (would have liked tomatoes and mushrooms) and a coffee for which i was charged £9 which i find too expensive. The food was nice the coffee tasted lovely but was served tepid and the service was good and friendly. There is a play area for small children which meant it wasnt as chilled and quiet as I would have liked but was great for the people there who had kids. Someone else came and asked for a breakfast and left disappointed while I was there. To avoid confusion would be better labelled a coffee shop rather...
Read moreThe member of staff that was on when we went in for breakfast was welcoming and helpful straight away. We had a little problem with one of the kitchen devices breaking down after we'd ordered so had to settle for something else which I was a little dissatisfied with after looking forward to what I'd ordered. So for this ive dropped 1 star as making a boiled egg could be done without a machine surely?? But food and the girl who was serving and cooking were lovely. Prices are a little on the high side of what you'd expect but is a lovely environment so worth a little...
