I booked a meal for my birthday treat for myself, husband and daughter on Saturday 18th February. We had to wait a few minutes on arrival which was fine. Shown to our table which was upstairs and seemed to have food all over the floor under the table. There was even some lettuce on one of the chairs? Ordered our food which came within a reasonable time. Then I found out why there was food all over the floor and under the tables, the staff cleared the dirty tables and shook the tablecloth onto the floor and put the dirty tablecloth back on the table just turned it over!! This happened twice. Disgusting! The table just in front of us had just finished their meal and one of the ladies was just finishing her drink when one of the staff came up and asked them to leave. The poor woman was still drinking her beer on the way down the stairs as the staff were so eager to get the next customers in. We then were just finishing our meal when the waitress came over with the bill. Clearly we hadn't asked for the bill and so I asked her to give us more time to decide if we wanted anything else. 5 minutes later another member of staff came back and asked quite rudely if we wanted anything else. If not then could we leave? We had only finished our meal approximately 10 minutes at this point and were still drinking. The waiter did say we could finish our drinks......very good of him!! I have never had such awful customer service. It felt like a conveyor belt and once you had eaten they couldn't wait to get rid of you. I will never go there again and I will tell all my family and friends and Trip Advisor members to avoid at all costs if you want a decent dining experience. It was supposed to be a birthday treat with my family and...
Read moreWe the 4 of us started to go to this restaurant, when it was opposite the Chateau in what was the Little Chef .We used to go for the early bird £9.95 3 course meal and it was excellent food, and service, Yes the portions were not large but shall we say adaquate and excellent quality. The bad news was last time we went it had closed and was moving to the center of Droitwich. Well we went this week to evaluate, we were the first customers in the very old building mind your head and the steps (not marked) as you go up the steps. The first surprise they had no license so we ordered soft drinks, be it that there was an off license 2 doors away. The drinks eventually came after about 10 minutes, then we had to wait to place the food orders again another 10 minutes. When this was completed we continued our small talk, after about another 20 minutes the starters arrived my Kebabs were the worst i have ever being given in a restaurant, small and tasteless the salad with the kebabs was very small, my friends ordered Onion Bargee but were given pakoras. Again another 15 minute wait for the main course, 3 meals arrived together but my wife had about 5 minute wait for her Prawn Korma, the sauce was like a weak soup again nothing like we have ever eaten before, an Aldi prawn Korma at £1.75 is far better value. My Chicken Jalfrazi was to be honest reasonable but not anywhere as good as the previous place. The Nan bread was burnt. One waiter decided to take used plates from the front not behind. We then left disgusted...
