Firstly lets say that the owners totally non flexible policies are unusual to say the least. My wife could not have a taste of the wine that was offered by the glass - that was a new one on us as every other pub we've been to for dinner has allowed to see if the wine was acceptable. The menu is limited - my wife had the chicken pie and chips. Clearly pre cooked and frozen. Not dissimilar to what we could get at Aldo but no match for an M&S pie. I had the chicken and ribs platter. As I find pub chicken breast to be generally very dry, I asked for that NOT to be served (no point in wasting it). I suggested that they might throw on a couple of extra onion rings but guess what. NO as the owner does not allow ANY substitutions. No worries. Anyway the meal was very disappointing and breached the trades description act. The menu clearly states a half rack of ribs. A Pig has 14 ribs each side so any mathematician would tell you that half of 14 is 7. There were 5. They were not particularly meaty. The wings were covered in a sauce which was different from the sauce on the ribs so a strange mix of flavours. Popcorn chicken was overcooked and dry. Beer was good, fries were good, service was pleasant but not good enough to makeup for the deficiencies so no, we wont we going back or...

Now here's a great pub. And what a great name for a pub?!!!!! The meal was fantastic, the staff? Lovely and very friendly. The Customers who were there at the time, fabulous, and I must say, very emotional for me to go there. The last time I went in this lovely pub was.... I was 28 years old, as I worked over the road, in what is now flats. It was the council offices then. I'm 60 this year, and just wanted to see the pub, and I have to say it, maybe for the very last time. Anyway enough said. Lovely 5 star place. Can I ask, is it Haunted? Hope so!!! If it is, love to be there, when after Midnight, something happens, or a apparition appear! Then Call an Ambulance, as I've dropped dead, mind you, not far from WRH, they will save me, Again!!! Now there's a Birthday treat, to end all treats Best wishes Nigel from Stourport. Just seen you are leaving. You will be missed in Droitwich All the very best for the future. The Pub to end all Pubs. My Favourite! I've aged a bit. Nearly 62 and don't look it. And anyone that's says different will get short shift from Me!!!! Seriously, it is my favourite pud in Droitwich. You will see me and my friends again soon. And I can say this without fear of Contraception!!! Take care. See you very soon. Nigel...

A huge disappointment.. never experienced such bad customer service and staff who care so little. There is a reason why what should be a beautiful period pub, in a great location is empty on a Friday night on a bank holiday weekend! Rooms look nice on Internet & are decorated well and our room was big, but on arrival, not clean (dirty carpet, cushion stains), no toilet paper, one towel for 2 guests (two guests were on the online booking), dirty cups and spoon in room, bins not emptied, bath and toilet not clean. Politely told manager when checking out about the above, to which his response was "it's fine" and "we'll sort it for next time" No apology, no offer to compensate. They simply do not care. Bumped into other guests who had the same experience. Shame as such a pretty town and could have so much potential if it was looked after. This is my first negative review and first experience of staff ever in my life not caring, not apologising or taking any action to try and remedy feedback. I'm quite stunned. No breakfast included in price. For £90 one night.. Just not acceptable Rip off,...

Only reason it is 4 stars and not 3 is because of atmosphere and friendly, cheerful staff! 🤭 We were looking for the best available pub experience in the area and were sold by great reviews and rating of 4.5 While the building and atmosphere is absolutely authentic, the food was average at most. Cowboy burger bun was very dry (taking in count, it was brioche is shouldn't have been cooked from the top at all) and coleslaw was served !warm (it was most unpleased coleslaw we tried). Salat leaves in the burger had hard bits (i guess leftovers), which isn't a big deal, but still, why? Cheddar potatoe leek pie - the dough part is so overcooked, almost rock hard, without gravy and salt it tasted plain, with potatoes in it still tender. I couldn't taste any cheddar at all. To be honest, if you can't cook pie properly, just remove it from the menu as such a simple dish ruins trust. Over cooked peas killed me too ( seriously, frozen peas just soak in boiling water for 3 min and serve! No magic needed!). Pepper and salt in opposite grinders too 🫣

Really nice pub in Droitwich with a lovely history. Came here on August Bank Holiday Sunday for a drink. Dog friendly and some treats available for the dogs. Decent pint. Didn't have food but the carvery looked lovely!! Small beer garden to enjoy the sun 🌞 All staff friendly. Toilets small but clean.

Lovey olde world pub with several ales and lots of fins available as well as other beverages. Pleasant staff who are courteous and attentive give to customers. The food is excellent especially the Sunday roasts and are excellent value. Highly recommend a visit if in the area.
