Muffin Break — Restaurant in Wychavon

My friend and I stopped off on a bike ride arriving at 5.05pm, after trying the door to 'Muffin Break' which was locked, and looking inside there was no customers and one of the staff was mopping up so we presumed they were shut.

We went next door #1 Coffee, with there doors open, friendly staff and customers sat inside and out. We ordered some coffees and then decided to sit outside and perched on the seats outside Muffin Break. A man came out clearly unhappy about this and started angrily saying we cant order at #1 Coffee and then come and use his seating (a fair point - but really done in a rude way) he was not interested at all that we wanted to have coffee from them initially but thought they were shut. I presume this man was the manager but the way he was obviously annoyed and defending his turf to us really seemed quite petty, and considering we stop in droitwich each week after a ride the rudeness has put us off ever picking this coffee/muffin shop. Especially when their competitor #1 Coffee is just 20 metres away and has a much friendly and welcoming approach...

Very impressed as I walked in with 3 children and a baby in a pram but saw it was too busy to sit down, but the manager chased over to show me a space for us all to sit. It was an unusually manic weekend due to the Jubilee but he still managed to make sure his staff knew to allow me to return to my children rather than wait for my food at the till and he had them bring it over to me. Not only that, I forgot to order one of the girls sandwiches so I had to queue again however he spotted me and made sure I was seen to asap. He was on the ball the whole time making sure everyone got the same individual care and treatment despite the heavy footfall. On top of that, the food was outstanding. A mountain of delicious bagels, flatbreads and cakes etc to choose from and the coffee tastes amazing!! A new favourite spot of ours. Nice to see a cafe care about it’s customers beyond...

Ordered 3 frappe's & a slice of cake today & after a 20 minute wait 2 were brought out to us (1 of which wasn't what we ordered so it was taken back) ... after 30 minutes I went in to ask where the other 2 were ...to be told they were NEARLY ready ,at which point I ask for a refund ( which they refunded in cash even though it was paid for by card ? ..Not 1 person in there seem to have a clue what they were doing,the cafe wasn't even busy ,no-one inside & only a few people at tables outside. Used to be a great place for coffee and cake but I will not return there again .Staff training definitely needs looking...
