The Orchard Beefeater — Restaurant in Wychavon

After service with a smile? Best go somewhere else! Barman stood next to me whilst he poured another customer a drink, looked straight through me but never even acknowledged my presence. Had the vegan platter, genuinely awful 😖 The "chicken" was massively overcooked and nearly impossible to cut let alone eat, the grilled peppers amounted to one slice of pepper, the tomato was hot and soft but not grilled, mushroom and chips were nice and all for £16 I was planning to have a dessert but never bothered after such a poor main course.

What a difference a day makes; Went down for breakfast and everything was cooked to perfection and the service was great! Then I went for dinner again, thought I would give the 3 course "meal deal" a try. Cauliflower bites starter served piping hot, nice! Then I tried the vegan burger (no 'cheese' can't stand it) but added vegan 'bacon' again nice burger served by an attentive member of staff, hot tasty food and good service wow! For pudding..... Well you can have a vegan starter and main course but no vegan pudding available on the "meal deal" there was a vegan pudding on the main menu but not available to me on the m"meal deal". Despite the lack of pudding what a transformation, I would strongly recommend staying away from this Beefeater on Monday evenings but give it a go on Tuesdays as its a different place. I will be eating elsewhere for the rest of the week as I have had the one vegan starter, and both vegan mains so I'll pop in to Evesham to see if other restaurants have better...

Poor service. Had checked the online menu for this restaurant to confirm they were doing the same 2 courses for £10.95 on their daytime menu as our local restaurant. When we got there their menus said £11.45. I know it’s only 50p difference but it’s the principle so I queried it. The Duty manager Ryan told me the online menus show their trial offer and the Orchard wasn’t participating it that. So I asked why did it show that for the Orchard online. I was told there were two Orchards so the online offer must clearly be for the other Orchard. So I showed him online it clearly states £10.95 for that Orchard at Evesham, not the other one. Oh, well it’s wrong! Good customer service would surely have been to honour the online price for the sake of 50p (£1.50 for our party of 3) and then get their website sorted. But no. We had to pay the extra. It’s not the cost it’s the principle. It went downhill from there. No fish for fish and chips, no garnishes on the burgers or starters so everything looked so plain. Mom’s chair was broken. Most of the chairs appeared so stained. Toilet broken. The duty manager twice tried to deliver food to our table that was for the table behind. Waitress, although pleasant until we queried the price change, wasn’t very efficient as put ice in all drinks despite us asking for no ice, and stood chatting with the duty manager discussing another member of staff while we were patiently waiting to pay. Shame it’s gone down hill as was lovely even back in October during our last visit. Puts me off...

Stayed at the adjoining hotel so used the restaurant first 2 nights and 2 mornings breakfast were really good, with excellent service, particularly a young server with dark hair on our first night, she was excellent. Although the price was quite inflated for what it is

Unfortunately, our last night left a VERY bitter taste and we cancelled our breakfast booking the next day.

As I don't have a very big appetite because of IBD and we'd had a big breakfast our second night dining I ordered a children's meal which was exactly the right size portion. The next night when we went for our 8pm booking and I ordered exactly the same the waitress (blonde) refused me to order as apparently it was against their policy, even though I'd ordered the day before!!

In this day and age with gastric bands and skinny jabs aswell as a growing number of bowel disease it is such an outdated policy not to serve children's meals to adults especially as they don't have a snack menu. Literally what difference does it make as they are still ordering a meal? All it is is making extra food waste and wasting money ordering food that is going to be wasted!

It lost you a meal and another round of drinks aswell as our family's breakfast the next day. Another diner at the restaurant was fuming for me, aswell as another family who saw me later in the hotel and the ladies on reception in the hotel were disgusted at how I'd been treated.

I went round to KFC and had a decent meal for 1/3 of the price...
