I’ve been to this cafe twice first time over the winter hols and the second time today , wife had the soup and brown bread she said it was very tasty, I had posh cheese on toast ,Welsh rarebit topped with crispy bacon and some dressed leaves and also a sausage roll. The cheese on toast was mainly whole grain mustard on toast couldn’t taste much cheese or any bacon at all the sausage roll was the complete opposite flaky pastry was ok but the sausage meat was totally devoid of any taste whatsoever. Very disappointing, will not be going back.

Excellent place to visit .. right next to broadway tower .. lovely grounds well maintained.. the tower barn is just in the right place for coffees / teas and food or just a quick snack .. the views are outstanding.. well worth a visit

Appalling Service and Discrimination

We visited this restaurant with our toddler, and from the moment we walked in, we were completely ignored. There was no greeting, no offer to seat us, nothing — as if we simply didn’t exist. The place was not busy at all, only a couple of tables were occupied, yet no one even looked in our direction.

We sat there for quite a while without being given menus or even acknowledged. Meanwhile, when other people arrived, staff rushed to greet them, offered menus, water, and made them feel welcome straight away. The contrast was glaring.

When we eventually decided to leave, we were still ignored — not even a goodbye. We couldn’t help but feel that this was because we are not English. We have every right to travel and expect decent service for which we are willing to pay. Instead, we were met with cold indifference and what felt like blatant discrimination.

This was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had, and I would strongly advise anyone who values respectful treatment to...

This was my first visit and it was absolutely fantastic. I had posh rarebit on gluten free bread (bread was lovely) and it was so tasty. The salad was crispy and fresh and a side of coleslaw which was tasty too. We had a choice of 3 gluten free cakes which is brilliant. They all looked lovely and the cappuccino cake tasted great. We were given hot water to top up our tea pots rather than having to order another tea.

I've felt let down by many other restaurants and cafes as the food and service is just mediocre. BUT the food here was excellent. Absolutely no complaints and I cannot wait to bring other people to share the lovely service and food.

The man who served us was fantastic, he cared about where we (and everyone else) sat and took our orders very quickly. He knew the menu and helped us with gluten-free information.

I honestly can't say enough how refreshing it was to have such good service as well as food. Loved it....
