Usually i would give this place 5* but after a spontaneous visit a couple of nights ago I have to say I didn't leave feeling as good when I arrived. I went to celebrate with my husband. I had the mixed grill which is nice But i think the meats could do with some seasoning. Im not sure if its me, as I always end up having it. I also don't think there is a whole lot of choice on the menu. As someone who can't have dairy I feel there really isn't a lot of choice its either a steak or burger. The quality of food is 100% though. But the reason for a 4 * when we left we had a 30% off voucher. at checkout we told the server this, and she could clearly see for some unknown reason that we couldn't access the email due to signal. The best we could do was show her the subject (which clearly stated 30% off mains deal) and who it was sent by. Even though she was kind to let us have it "this once" as she put it she kept insisting she needed to see the banner on the actual meal that said 30% off. Even though we were showing her we had no signal. On hindsight i think you have free wifi which we didn't think of as we were both quite tired, it just didn't occur to us. But the way she spoke to me regarding the voucher made me feel like a school girl being scolded by the head mistress. making sure that it was "very clear" and having the nerve to wait for a response that i understood that. Even though i politely thanked her previous when she has said she would honour it. She was instant thought that she wouldn't do it next time and need to see the banner, there was no reminder of free Wifi. Not sure i will be returning for while with how i was left feeling. I have an unseen disability which made it all the worse as I felt like I was being...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA lovely looking pub very spacious, friendly enough staff served promptly under staffed in my eyes for a Saturday. Hmm now the food the menu choice was ok yet the food was nothing special seemed to get cold quick so must have been sitting for a bit before came out I suppose there was a lot of us, the cutlery spoiled it as it barely cut through the chicken I wasnāt the only one who experienced this, no one came to check if everything was ok during the meal we spent alot of money had desert as well we went as it was my mums birthday I live in Worcester Iām used to better i guess I personally would not go again I felt ill when I left the kind of illness when you just didnāt enjoy the food, also we were sat by the window with the sun glaring in you could not open the window for fresh air which Iām sure is against health and safety never mind of there was a fire makes me wonder if it should be reported and you couldnāt even pull down the blinds which were just for decoration no actual blinds so I and a few others were getting roasted as the sun went down. Also lastly to add we waited from around 6.30pm to nearly 8pm for our food to arrive...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBooked a table for six guests which included my 7 and 9 year old daughters. Arrived on time one guest had a young puppy (who slept at his feet during our visit). We sat at a table on the wooden floor area as we know the dog protocol. Bar tender took our order and asked us to move tables, I mentioned we had a pup in the party, he moved us to another table, so far no problem. We had almost finished main course when a man came over and in an extremely loud and aggressive manner told us we can't sit there with a dog, this man's unacceptably loud aggressive tone upset my young daughters, it embarrassed the entire group and ruined what should have been a friendly family outing, it was a totally unnecessary outburst. If I had not had my daughters with me it would have created an escalating conflict. Perhaps this individual was suffering from stress or was having a bad day which is no excuse. He acted in a way which can only be described by the term "bully". Its a disgrace and needless to say myself and family will not be visiting your establishment again and neither will any of our friends and family. Please explain why this was...
