Embarrassing and unacceptable behaviour from staff.

I paid in full at the point of ordering — as per their usual process. Despite this, after I finished my meal and left, staff came chasing after me onto the street accusing me of not paying.

This was a very upsetting experience and quite inexplicable as mentioned that they take payment at the point of order. It was humiliating, completely unnecessary, and frankly disgraceful behaviour. The mistake was entirely on their side, yet they saw fit to confront me publicly as if I was trying to avoid payment — even though the bill had already been settled.

They failed to check their own error before choosing public confrontation and embarrassment — and even after it was clear I had paid, no apology was offered.

As a South Asian customer, I am left wondering whether unconscious bias played a role in the way I was treated. No customer should have to experience this kind of treatment.

I will never set foot in this cafe again as I don't want to be made to feel a thief when I sit in for a coffee. I would advise others to think twice before dining here. No customer should be...

Quaint little coffee shop ,very helpful & pleasant staff....needed a well earned coffee after a secondhand shop stomp with my daughter and grandson ....tiny little place probably for about 10 people at a squeeze but coffees good ....not good for disabled access as you cannot swing a cat in there we had problems with the pram ....good place to go through for a bite to eat (sandwiches & light bites) window seat is a must watch the world go by if there in reading the newspaper kick em ooot ...good comfy sofa at the back of shop for real shoppers but you have to climb the steps to get there . ..otherwise pleasant...

Running the River King in Stourport-on-Severn, we are always asked for catering options for parties & functions.
