Great little pub and sure to become a regular visitor. Very cosy atmosphere and great choice of ales. Only negatives are : As another reviewer said service sometimes isn't great. A few times now I have been the victim of serving people in wrong order. Although people getting served should point out others were first. Just basic good manners. Only other thing is there seems to be some confusion as to wether you order ales by name or pump number. The beers are numbered on the pumps and on screen so you would think is how to order (as with several other real ale pubs I visit) but it seems dependant on who's serving. Read moreThe Real Ale Tavern (aka the RAT) is a great new addition to the line up of pubs in Bewdley. Jerome and Tracy have made it a very welcoming place that's dog friendly, although they don't allow kids, which is also a benefit as it keeps the atmosphere to be more of a traditional local pub, rather than a family eatery.
Serving a wide variety of beers and ales they always have over 10 real ales and a couple of real ciders on the go, and these rotate almost daily. They don't serve hot meals but do have cobs and pork pies, along with the normal bar snacks.
