I love the military support! Great atmosphere, decor was a little confused about its vision but still cool. Beers were solid. The BBA Thiic Stout was AMAZING, the blood orange IPA was very nice. The vanila porter and the oatmeal stout fell a little flat but they were still good. Be warned about their Hazy IPA- they warn you about the bitterness and they are not lying! Extensive food menu for what we were expecting from a brewery- cheese curds were very good. Kitchen clearly cooks from scratch, get your orders in ASAP if you arrive hungry. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good amount of parking. Beer and liquor options. Sports ball on the TV but thankfully there was music on and the commentary was (mostly) muted. The bartender was lackluster, unfortunately. Sweatpants to work is not something I’d allow for if this were my place, and I do expect my staff to greet people a bit faster - which he did… if he already knew your name- a greeting and a drink order and poured before he’d bother to look back at his bar top guests that he hadn’t checked in on in a few minutes- so great with the regulars, which we were not. He wasn’t very fast and honestly, just not welcoming enough for us to go out of our way to stop in the next time we are in town. Hopefully that is just us catching him on an off day, but if I were the owner, I’d rather know how to improve the ambiance than someone...
Read moreI have told a lot of friends about FCA IPA. BUT, something has changed. Maybe it is the brewmaster, most likely, but this is not the same beer as it used to be. I buy mine at Harris-Teeter in Surf City. Not anymore. I can't finish what I bought, and the rest will get poured out. Railhouse, if you are reading these reviews, give us a real answer---What the hell has happened to your product????? In the meantime, I have switched over to Hoppyum, a very good IPA from Winston-Salem, and to Hop Nosh, an even better IPA from... wait for it... Utah! Both brews are at HT. I was in Utah last fall. There, Hop Nosh sold in restaurants is the usual watered-down crap-as-usual from the theological controllers there. I think it is about 4% ABV. But go to the State store, and you can maybe get lucky. The next sound is the FCA going down my drain. Too bad. They had a good thing, but not this crap. It does NOT deserve...
Read moreMy family is originally from Vass but currently live in Columbia SC. When I drive up to see my mother we ALWAYS go to railhouse. We love the value of the food, and the quality.. I love the subs, pizza, wings ( get the Jamaican jerk or Sweet Thai Chili) for a meal and the Cheese curds are as good as what we get in the Upper Penusula of Michigan or Wisconsin (and we all know Michigan and Wisconsin know cheese curds.) I do think he main reason we keep coming back is really bc of Noelle. Noelle is the best waitress/bartender within 500+ miles ( and ive been to 43 of the 50 states so i have eaten out a lot all over. ) She remembers us everytime we come in ( even if its been months) she greets us with a HUGE smile, jokes with us and just makes sure we feel so welcome. Railhouse is lucky to have such an amazing person working for them. If I could give MORE than 5 stars I would bc she...
