Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Abilene

This WAS my favorite location went here almost every week. But then my husband orders a large side of mash potatoes we were tired in a rush to get home I usually check. Well no mash potatoes so he was upset. Tried calling phone was busy which is funny considering there was no one there really called 5 min straight. Just tried calling today and this young man answers deep voice I tell him what happened and he asks Well do you have a receipt Well if ya'll gave me one it'd be Nice (didn't tell him that by the way). I said no we weren't given one and that I tried calling that same day no one answered. He says managers busy can't do anything without a receipt. Well can the manager call me back when he's not busy I said he said ya then I asked Well do you need my number for him to reach me on he hung up Lol the nerve of people nowadays. It's not much only 4for the side But it's the point. They need to write down an order number and if they forget something write it next to it if they know they forgot. So if someone calls back they have it written. Customer service sucks nawadays I mean it's not our fault we pay to Get something to Get home and not have it and lose out cause they hardly hand out receipts😒 well they just lost a regular customer not that they...

BEFORE READING just know I’m definitely not a Karen or the type to leave bad reviews unless it is absolutely necessary. I had just back into town from a long trip and was wanting some GOOD chicken and I had been told Churches Chicken was really good. I pulled up, ordered, payed, and the ladies were helpful and respectful and I got my food. Long story short, I opened my box and it was 100% rubbery, hard, old, thin, shriveled. The coleslaw was very good 🔥 but sadly not even the drinks were good. I just couldn’t believe how horrible the quality was. Now I did order the food at 8:40 which is 20 mins until closing. My experience tonight was horrible! Pulled up in drive and was immediately greeted and put on hold at speaker. A car pulled right up behind me and ended up driving off. Another car pulled up behind me and waited and went around me and went to the window. I then pulled around and seen that car at window ordering….before me after I had been waiting and never helped. I went in and caught them passing the other car that cut in front of me a big bag of chicken. I told them what happened and got no apology and didn’t even get my order taken.
