I have never had a good experience here. The first time I came, they ran out of breakfast burritos by 9:30 am. The second time took 30 minutes, and I was the 3rd car in line. This was the last chance as my husband has never had bad service. We went through the drive-through, and they were out of potato and egg, which was on us because I was 11am. So we ordered carne burritos instead because they have a carne plate. We finally get to the window and after 20 minutes thr woman finally opens the window and asked if we had placed an order or needed to place an order. We told her the other woman and taken our order. She leaves for a few and comes back and says they had to close the kitchen for an accident. This entire time people were coming in and out for their food. They didn't talk to the people behind us about the kitchen being closed, so who knows what really happened. We were there 40 minutes with nothing to...

I would not recommend this place for several reasons: The food is expensive if you consider that you are eating bag/ not fresh corn tortillas. The Nachos salsa is the same used for several dishes. I tried "Menudo," which tasted absolutely gross; I could see the fat floating on the plate. That is not menudo (they use the same broth for Pozole). Sad.

I also tried a barbacoa "gordita". That was what saved my breakfast. Also tried eggs with cactus (Nopales con Huevo) and was not impressed. The coffee tasted as if it was made by the same dude who made the menudo.

I usually give places two or three chances, but even the people with who I had breakfast agreed that their food was lame. I did not try the rice and beans; maybe they were the game changer, but they were not...

Called in an order and the lady drive through was rude because the line was long. Barbacoa burrito was supper dry, tasted old like left overs and terribly seasoned tasted BLAND. I asked if they can add a bean and rice burrito for my 11 month old son, and she said no. Or at least a small side of beans and rice for my baby boy, and still said no. Would’ve took her 10 second to put it in a container, it’s already made!! Such ugly hospitality for a restaurant called “La Familia”. Looks like drive thru lady can’t handle orders. Said she can’t add a burrito because she’s too busy. Terrible customer service. And TERRIBLE DRY barbacoa. More upset about the customer service than the food. If you want good barbacoa, don’t come here. Go to La Mexicana. Menudo...

I am a frequent visitor. The food is great. Beans and rice are authentic. Taquitos are just like you get in Mexico. Huevos Rancheros are always a staple. Home made tortillas would set this place over the top but no one does that anymore. Diet Coke from the fountain would also be an upgrade but the cans are ok too, cold and not expensive. At least they offer it! Not the best in terms of the building and furniture which is why the 4 stars but overall everyone always seems welcome and satisfied after visiting.
