Absolutely love Mi Ranchito, but the service is ALWAYS horrible when you dine in. No one greets you when you walk in and they all see you when you walk in, they just don’t greet or acknowledge you. It happens every time we dine in. Today we went in, no one was in the dining room, we weren’t greeted or acknowledged. We get seated, the guy finally brings menus and takes our drink order. He brings our drinks and asks us if we need a couple of minutes, we tell him yes. He walked away and then never came back. He was too worried about working the register and taking orders for the people who were just walking in to place to-go orders. We sat there for a while, to see if he would come back, and he never did. We walked into the restaurant at 7:30 and we walked out at 7:52 because no one came back to take our order. I could understand if the dining room was full, but we were literally the only ones in the dining room! 22 minutes of sitting at a table with no service is a little ridiculous. We go to Mi Ranchito every week, usually through the drive-thru, and the older woman who works the drive thru is always so sweet and has the best customer service skills, but dine-in...
Read moreFirst off, the food here is 5/5. Also, the staff is very polite and welcoming!
The reason this place gets a 2/5 is because of slow service, and poor communication. I've been here twice- the first time it took them 40 minutes to make a taco plate. It wasn't busy inside, they weren't rushing around, it wasn't packed. The second time, I called my order in ahead of time, expecting slow service, and was told it would be ready in ten minutes. It took me 20 minutes to get there. I still had to wait ten minutes to get my food, because they "didn't hear" half my order, despite having repeated it back to me verbatim on the phone?
If every time I come here involves me sitting on a wooden chair near the entrance feeling like I'm in time out, I just won't come.
The food is great if you have two hours to spare for a long sit down meal. I don't have that...
Read moreAs soon as you walk in you will notice the inside of this restaurant is not what you expected from the outside of the building. The inside is full of Hispanic flare with bright colors, scenic full wall paintings, and even a mock building awning that all makes you feel like you're sitting outside. You will immediately be greeted by a sign that asks you to wait to be seated. The smiling faces of the waitresses then come and escort you to a table. The chips and salsa is fantastic and the lunch entrees are even better. They only serve breakfast and lunch at the time of this review. The tacos are extremely good! My waitress, Susanna, made my experience even more enjoyable. She was bubbly, full of smiles, and was a great waitress. I will be back to try more things here and hopefully will be waited on by Susanna again! I would definitely recommend...
