Went to Mian Bistro tonight with my wife, brother, and sister-in-law. None of us had been there before but wanted to try it based on reviews. It was definitely a challenging evening. Despite there not being many people there, they took our order and everything seemed fine. After a LONG wait for our food, and others being served before us, someone came to our table and asked what we had ordered. They brought out part of our food (brothers first, then SIL's), then asked again what my wife and I had ordered. They found my mongolian beef, however did not know where my wife's hunan chicken and our cheese rangoons were (hint, the people sitting behind us were served hunan chicken and cheese rangoons right after they sat down... those were probably ours!). We all waited for my wife's meal while our own were getting cold. They continued serving other people their food. I finally went up to the counter and asked again about my wife's hunan chicken and cheese rangoons. They had no answer but said it would be a little longer. Finally, her meal came out, but no cheese rangoons. They had to go back and remake them but they finally came out. They definitely need to come up with a better system of tracking orders. Now for the food... it was just okay, nothing was overwhelmingly good (my SIL's "orange chicken" was not very good at all). I can understand a few challenges/delays, but c'mon, we shouldn't have to keep being asked what we ordered, and then me having to ask a few times where the rest of...

Let me just say: y'all don't know how good you have it here in Abilene! After living in such a big city (Phoenix) over the past few years, you would think that I would have found at least one decent Asian food restaurant while I was there. And trust me, I searched high and low! Nothing in Phoenix compares to the fresh delicious meal we had tonight.
We tied the sesame chicken, orange chicken, spicy noodle soup, lo mein, and pot stickers. Yes, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Everything was amazing! The flavors were so on point! Nothing had that overly salty or overly sweet issue that you often run into at lower quality Asian places. The soup was spicy, but not just spicy to be spicy; it actually had great flavor as well. The pot stickers were definitely made in house and not frozen, which is always great to see. My personal favorite was the sesame chicken, but the orange chicken was definitely a close 2nd. Everything just tasted like a good home cooked meal that was made with love.
I thought moving to a city the size of Abilene meant Panda Express would be the best I could find, but I'm very glad that's not the case!
10/10. We are for sure...
Read moreTo be honest I haven't been to this place in over a year. My family was so excited to have a second place to order pho from. What a disappointment it was. I got the udon, no flavor what so ever. I had to pour soy sauce in it just to get some kind of flavor. Went from tasting like water udon to just salty water udon. My boyfriend got pho and of course watery flavored rice noodle. The beef didn't even have flavor lol. My brother got the chicken curry. Had a hint of coconut taste but after that hint went away just tasted like a flavorless spicey curry. Boyfriends father got the pad thai I believe and it just tasted like peanut butter no other flavor just a bunch of noodles with peanut butter flavor all over it. We all forced ourselves to eat all the gross flavorless food because we all hadn't eatin all day plus the food was so pricey had it not been so expensive we would have gotten up and left after the first bite. No one can ever make me go back to this place unless they paid for me. Not gonna waste my own money on water. And yes this place is so bad that I remember everything about that day, what a disappointment it was. Go to CK Seafood & Grill if you want food that is...
