Spanky P's Tavern — Restaurant in Abilene

I've never been here but it's on my bucket list! I only hear Jessie James legendary tales from folk who venture Here. Seems to me spanky ps is only the start of the night, you must be accepting of the adventure it provides after. Here is a real life account from a legendary drinker the "Chug lord" of one of accounts after I asked him "Have you accomplished any amazing Ripley's Believe It or Not feats as of recently?" This is the CHUG LORDS responce : "I pulled a 9 hr shift at spanky ps the other night and somehow lost both my contacts so I couldn't see and I was drunk, I then left but went to Taco Bell first, got home and set it in my table and forgot to eat it and just woke up in my bed the next morning. This place HAS CHARACTER. I once went here and witnessed a woman propose to a man … awkward. Another time, I went here before going to Dixie Rose. Flanders had way too much to drink and went to the ER. The ambulance had to pick him up from Dixie Rose. I also once went here and sang karaoke. I got a round of applause for singing Garth Brooks. Some patron bought me a shot and I threw it up, then left for the night. The last time I went here, I witnessed a fight as soon as I walked in.

Spanky P's holds a special place in my heart and I cannot get enough of this place. There are vibrant characters and a unique smell only a drunk can love. The prices are fair and the burger is good. I love the fries and mayo. MY FAVORITE BAR IN...

Spanky P's is located in the middle of several neighborhoods. They are open till 2 AM and consistently play extremely loud music until that hour. I've contacted Spanky P's on multiple occasions and have asked them to turn down the volume (only after 10-11 PM) but my efforts have been in vain. I had patronize Spanky P's in the past for an occasional burger and beer (their Spanky's sauce is excellent) and was initially glad to have them in our neighborhood. However, their noise level and lack of courtesy to our neighborhood is frustrating to say the least.
