Tokyo Japanese Steak House — Restaurant in Abingdon

We did a pick up order from here while visiting Abingdon. The food was ready on time, the order was perfect, and it was delicious. We got crab rangoons, pork dumplings, a dinner steak/shrimp hibachi and a dinner filet/shrimp hibachi. The hibachi was hot and perfectly cooked. We got the steak and filet as we were interested to see what, if any, differences there were. There was definitely a difference. The steak was cooked to perfection and had a fantastic flavor BEFORE we added the hibachi sauce (which is also great). The filet was equally as delicious but definitely filet. The shrimp was not overcooked, and had a great flavor. The pork dumplings were really good, and the cab rangoons were some of the best we've had in years. We love Asian food and have it at least 4 times a month. This is definitely one of the better meals we've had on the road in years. We will be return customers!!

Food is overpriced as is on the menu. You get your receipt and everything you order is at best 5 dollars more than menu price one or 2 dinners were atleast 10 dollars off menu price. We were 3 adults 1 toddler, gave My son a kids sized drink but charged for an adult drink. Everything on the receipt was not the price on the menu. Even then though we added it up and even with the misleading prices on the receipt it added up to around 65 so tell me how the total was 94 🤣 waitress was awesome but when you're adding up food to make sure you can cover the bill and still tip and 30 dollars gets added on to your already incorrect priced receipt. Food was okay at best definitely not even close to one of the best Japanese restraunts ive been to and every single one of those were extremely cheaper than this place with mediocre food at best....

Well, one star is for the food and the other is for the horrible mess of a dining room. The feeling you get while waiting for your food is that the resturaunt had seen better days. The idea of sitting and eating in the same area where old beer boxes and menus just lay around is disturbing. The grill area where they openly prepare your dinner is apparently a storage area too with an abundance of buckets and plastic bags laying about. The menu clearly states hat a fifteen percent tip is included into your bill... That told me not to expect much and my gut was right. The service was absent at best and the food lacked seasoning but was edible. So I do NOT recomend dining here if you have an idea of what a "stake...
