Visited on 12/19/2024. Arrived around 5 pm-ish and left around 7pm. It was busy when we (party of 2) got there. The girl ringing up orders had no idea how to smile. She seemed annoyed that we were 1st time customers who weren't sure what to order. Having said that, we did not hold up the line. We ordered 2 sandwiches, 2 desserts, and 2 on special lattes. Our total was $58. Way, way, way too expensive for what we ordered! Way, way, way too expensive for the unfriendly service we received! I will say that the young gentleman behind the counter, our batista, was very nice and friendly when he helped my friend carry our order to our table, but his working buddy set my first visit there off to a very bad start. I did enjoy the ambiance of the shop, but based on the over pricing and the unfriendly service, I think it unlikely that I...

I love a good coffee shop and this one has replaced my usual favorite!

The atmosphere is amazing, very peaceful with dark green paint and the wooden bar, little out coves with tables so you kinda have some privacy and lots of soft comfy couches. This is the type of place you can just curl up with a good book all day, just reading and drinking coffee.

The coffee really is the best flavorings never overpower the coffees itself and the roast are incredibly flavorful. They have a great roaster. Pastries are unique and absolutely delicious, definitely recommend the peanut butter balaclava 10/10

Service here is okay, may take a second to get someone’s attention but not forever.

Overall this places takes the new #1 best coffee...

Ordered 2 decaf coffees and discussed with the barista that my husband and I cannot tolerate caffeine. She put a different color lid on the cup and I asked if they were both decaf. She said one was not. I reiterated that I ordered decaf and asked that she correct it. She proceeded to wait on every other customer and when the place was empty, started making other orders. I asked if she forgot me and she said she had other orders to attend to. This is terrible customer service. I walked out without my coffee and truly amazed at this women’s unprofessional behavior. The owner requested a separate review and in response, offered us 2...

Who are you taking a summer road trip here with!? This is one of my absolute favorite places to adventure in Virginia! It’s kind of a haul from NOVA (~6 hours), but it’s well worth the trip. I personally enjoy basing myself in Abingdon, VA. It’s a nice little town along I-81 with restaurants, bars, groceries, etc. and is centrally located to most of the places in this itinerary. TIPS: 🄾Make sure to do your research on these hikes and parks before visit. Know what to expect and prepare accordingly. The Great Channels and Devils Bathtub are moderate to hard hikes. 🐾It’s extremely important to respect these outdoor spaces. Leaving no trace means exactly that: no evidence you were ever there! šŸ—ŗļø Outside of town, it’s pretty rural and you likely won’t have service, so map everything out in advance. šŸš“šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø Check out the Virginia Creeper Trail! I also recommend the Appalachian Trail town of Damascus. The brewery there is great + there are some good local places to eat. šŸ”In Abingdon, I love Wolf Hills Brewery for beer/live music and Wolf Hills Coffee for breakfast. *I didn’t include Roanoke because it deserves its own separate itinerary!

Cute little town - this was a coffee pit stop. Worth getting off i81 to drive a few miles through their downtown.
