The Abingdon Farmers Market is one of my favorite spots in town. There’s always a great variety of fresh produce, local meats, baked goods, and handmade items. The vendors are friendly and take the time to share where their products come from, which makes it feel personal and community-driven. It’s also a nice place to run into neighbors and enjoy the atmosphere on a weekend morning. Prices are fair for the quality you get, and everything I’ve bought has been top notch. It’s a wonderful part of Abingdon and definitely worth visiting.

I love the farmers market here so much. Not only do they have a morning market on Saturdays starting in April, but they have an afternoon market on Tuesdays. They may have to make more space at this pavilion as most Saturdays it is packed. Public bathrooms and parking are across the street. No ATMs on-sight, but you can purchase $5 market coins (w/ fee) using your debit card at the info booth. They are used like cash and change is given. Offers sweets, baked goods, lots of meat, canned goods, handmade soaps and lotions, dairy products, eggs, IN SEASON LOCAL vegetables and plants, wares and crafts, fresh flowers, oh and a mushroom man. Yes, it's more expensive than the grocery store, but it's better and you support your neighbors. Go...

Great farmers market, but what I experienced here was not the market but the Thursday Jams event that is hosted here by the city of Abingdon. The event was absolutely fantastic. They had a live band playing with room for anyone to dance, who were greatly supported by the crowd. There was a roped off area for drinking and a local food truck serving cheap but delicious food. In addition, there was a performance by a dancing lion group that proved to be great entertainment for all of the...
