Burger King is burger King. They probably have a ceiling of 3 stars to begin with, but in my most recent visit, the first in probably 6 years, I was pretty much held hostage for over a half hour in the drive through. There were cars in front of and behind so there was no way to bail. They didn't send anything out to tell anyone in line what was going on, but we later learned "their system went down". Obviously this is non specific information but I can't imagine what they were talking about. There most sophisticated computers in existence take 2-3 minutes to reboot. BK is not exactly a picture of technological sophistication, so I don't know what took from 538 pm to 613pm to sort out. I never come down on employees having worked in the service industry myself but I was surprised that they didn't send someone out to the long line of cars waiting for the better part of an hour, and offered only a half hearted apology upon checkout with no discount, no offer for future free drink or appetizer as you sometimes see... Nothing. To top it all of, they did not even make fresh food!!!! This was by far the most egregious of the many missteps. To wait that long and get ice cold fries and chicken fries, and a cold, rubbery cheeseburger, and watered down drinks with the ice completely melted was beyond ridiculous. I actually considered turning around and going in to discuss but I knew that would be useless. There is a reason I rarely visit BK and sadly, they lived up to all of my expectations which is...
Read moreWe never eat fast food, but one of my children saw Burger King and said, “Mom, everyone at school eats Burger King — let’s try it.” So I agreed, and we decided to stop by.
But now I truly believe that God was warning us — we should never eat Burger King, anywhere, ever. It’s not just dirty — the experience was also extremely rude and disrespectful. We came in and waited for someone to take our order. There were three girls behind the counter. Two of them were standing right in front of us and deliberately avoided making eye contact, as if we weren’t even there. I asked, “How can we place an order?” One of them said, “Oh yeah, she’ll take your order now.” But the other girl replied, “I’m not taking their order.” The first one said, “Come on, just take it.” And she said again, “No, I’m not taking their order.”
I asked, “What’s going on?” Then she turned to a man who was making burgers and said something to him. He came over, a bit awkward, and said, “What would you like to order?” I asked him, “What’s the problem? Why won’t she serve us?” The manager, a white woman, said, “I don’t understand what’s going on here.” The Black girl then turned to another woman making burgers and whispered something to her, right in front of us.
The man said, “Don’t worry, don’t worry, we’ll make your burgers. What would you like?” But by that point, we didn’t want to order anything. The whole situation made us feel very...
Read moreI have not eaten at this BK in over a year and a half, and during that time much has changed. The interior has been completely done over and it is very nice. I have to day that it is one of the best "fast food" interiors I've seen in a while. And the young lady who took our order was so friendly that I would come back just for her attitude (Jasmine). But the food. Well we had the #6 & #7 medium. These are the crispy chicken sandwiches w/fries and a drink. And what a surprise to see the sandwich looked like the picture on the menu. The bun was full and soft and had a fresh taste to it. And the chicken was obviously a big chunk of breast, and cooked just right. And the fries are standard BK fare and are good as well. SO, big thumbs up from this hungry man. Jasmine, you keep being you. And to the owner who made the choice to upgrade, well you got me back...
