Rooted Tree Productions, Inc. — Local services in Abington Township

My children started attending RT in 2019. They've participated in 5 productions. We've been involved in the summer camps, workshops, Halloween haunted house and the annual 4th of July parade. Rooted Tree doesn't only place an emphasis on performance arts they do well with teaching students about the story lines and history behind each show i.e. taking time to critically discuss race relations in the U.S. while working on the production of Hairspray or learning about career options while working on Legally Blonde. What I appreciate most is the care and attention given to each child who participates in their programming. Below is a review from one of my children:

"I have had the great privilege of being a participant of the Rooted Tree Organization since the very beginning. In 2019 I was awarded a scholarship to participate summer camp. Rooted Tree is not only an organization, but a family. Through it I have made some of my very best friends and have grown immensely as a person. The staff and people are so welcoming and kind. They know exactly how to make a safe environment for people of all colors, genders, and sexualities.

We've attended several Rooted Tree Productions in the past and loved them, so when our 8-year-old expressed an interest in their summer camp, we were so excited. They watched The Descendants movies with their younger brother leading up to summer camp and had such a lovely experience with the campers and staff. Everyone on staff was so organized and had plenty of videos for our kiddo to practice at home, which was especially helpful since we had to miss the first week of summer camp due to vacation (which they were so patient and flexible with working around). Can't wait to attend more Rooted Tree shows in the future and hopefully have both of our children attend the camp and future productions. Grateful that center inclusivity as well, considering our kiddo is non-binary and this is the first time we've ever come across a pronoun field in a camp or school form in...

We LOVE Rooted Tree!! My little ones have been part of the Seedlings for two years and absolutely adore Ms. Franco! They look forward to every week's performance and have gained confidence and performing skills. This year they were finally able to go to summer camp (which they were so excited for!) We were very impressed with how camp was run - the kids were busy each day with fun crafts, games, and of course, learning the songs and choreography for the big show. The performance Rooted Tree put on at the end of camp was exceptional and our kiddos were bursting with pride. We particularly love how Rooted Tree gives back to the community and is committed to instilling a love of the performing arts in the children of our community. We are so grateful to have a children's theater company in our town and look forward to many more wonderful experiences...
