The Legacy Center — Attraction in Abington Township

The only thing included in the package was the room itself, which was extremely overpriced considering there were no chairs or tables set up, no ice, and no help provided (to move the tables). I’ve rented halls for less where at least the basic, tables and chairs were set up beforehand. For $1,200, there wasn’t even a bartender included. I’ve rented halls at the same price where that covered an open bar or at least a consumption bar.

On top of that, the stage floors were dirty, dingy-looking, and sticky when we arrived. A random TV was left in the middle of one of the rooms, which made the space look unprofessional. I also paid extra to rent numbers, but half the lights on them didn’t even work. The “photo booth” was just a webcam with a mirror, and the pictures cut off half of the people in every shot—definitely not worth the extra charge. The so-called “kitchen” was nothing more than a sink and a fridge. The contract stated bathrooms (plural), but in reality, there was only a single bathroom for all guests to share.

I requested to come in one hour earlier (which my original time was 6pm-12am but I wanted the hall from 5pm-11pm), and instead of being accommodating (especially since no other parties were scheduled before or after mine), I was sent a new contract with an additional fee. When I asked to simply shift my end time to the beginning, that then was honored which was disappointing.

When I arrived, the owner was on FaceTime/phone, gave a quick “if you need me, let me know,” and left. For the price charged, the service, cleanliness, and amenities were extremely disappointing. It seemed as though I was being pressured to do the “highest” priced package. I do not recommend this hall it is absolutely not...

I booked this venue for my sons 1st Birthday party on August 26th, 2023 and it was awesome. The owner Jason was very quick to respond to my first inquiry and was easy to contact. Jason was accommodating to checking out the venue before we fully booked. The venue is very nice with a mini kitchen, fridge and microwave. The second room has a bar built. The main room has up lighting all around ceiling. We didn't need a DJ because there is a large speaker and 2 microphones. Also bluetooth and wifi included. We used a Playlist from our tablet for music. One bathroom thats very clean. You have to set up tables and chairs yourself and take them down at end of party. Cost is very affordable for nice space and time slot. My party was 4 hours. There is a deposit fee for day off for incidentals but you get it back at end of event if no issues. We needed to find a venue to host my daughter's college sendoff (trunk) party at the last minute. I inquired about the venue online and within the hour received communication from Jason, the owner. While the date we wanted was not available after talking to him and learning more about the venue, he invited us to come see it in person. Once there, we knew this was the venue we wanted and quickly booked and changed the date of the party. BEST decision we could have ever made. The space was so open and comfortable for our family and friends. All of the amenities worked properly and helped us pull off an amazing party.
