So, this place used to be Riviera Pizza and it changed ownership in the summer of 2023. Now it is known as Dolce Luna. So any reviews prior to the change of ownership are null and void.
Came here this evening with family. We were the only ones in the restaurant. I think our waitress was new to this. She was trying, but she did make a lot of mistakes. My husband ordered beef tostadas and he realized he was eating shrimp instead. Thank God he isn't allergic to shrimp because that would have been catastrophic.
I ordered the chicken apple walnut salad. It didn't come with any dressing. It was really dry. The chicken was over cooked. My mother in law ordered the chicken Francesce which was good. Chicken was very tender and saturated in butter. My father in law ordered the veal parmigiana and he was the last one to be served his meal. We were all eating our dinner and he waited an extra 15 minutes before he finally was served his meal. The waitress forgot who ordered what. When she brought out the veal it wasn't on a bed of pasta. She seemed really confused about that, but it does say on the menu that it comes on a bed of pasta.
The people in the kitchen should've known better. You make sure all the entrees are served out at the same time and get the order right. We were pretty disappointed with the service this evening. We may give them another try because the inside of this place is nice...
Read moreOrdered delivery to the hospital and were so impressed that we went to the restaurant the next day. BEST MUSSELS I've ever had. The sauce was very watery but the mussels themselves were absolutely delicious! Everything we had was great.
Service is mixed. Waitress was sweet but a little green, I guess. Didn't quite get it. Also, I was very specific about how I wanted my white pizza (with an extra, very large amount of garlic). A simple request but a bit unusual so I knew I had to impress her with how serious I was. I even told her to talk to the cook and make sure he understood what I wanted. She didn't. Tlhe pizza came out with almost no garlic on it at all. You could not taste any at all. It was the opposite of what I wanted. The pizza itself tasted good and the crust was great. But it was definitely not what I ordered.
When I told the waitress, it was very clear that she didn't tell the cook what I wanted. So, it wasn't the cook's fault. Pretty disappointing. Extra disappointing was that I was charged several dollars for the garlic when she ran the ticket even though there was almost none on the pie.
We will be back! I'm craving those muscles again! I'll just make sure to order my pizza off the menu without any...
Read moreI ordered the Linguine in Clam Sauce, one of my favorite go-to pasta dishes. When I received it, I was highly disappointed, to say the least. It was flavorless and not what I expected from what is supposed to be an authentic Italian restaurant. I sent it back THREE times and requested that they would make it more of a butter/garlic sauce (as per the original recipe), the first time it didn't taste like ANYTHING, the second time it tasted like pure butter (without garlic) and the third time tasted like it was microwaved with slices of a garlic clove. I was super excited to find a great Italian restaurant that was local and fulfilling, but this was NOT it. Even the Caesar salad was questionable. The owner was very careless in the way he handled the ordeal. I was with another family member, and she ordered Shrimp Scampi. She complained that the shrimp had a NON-FRESH taste and that they had a breaded film around them. He told her that "scampi" means fried/breaded and that it is supposed to be that way. Mind you, we have ordered these dishes at other restaurants and have made them at home, so we know what the standards are. The owner was very condescending in tone and manner and we will...
