Sprinkles Ice Cream Shoppe — Restaurant in Abington Township

Saturday the 14th was a day of celebration for my family.... my son committed to a University we were proud parents so we celebrated all day and later Saturday evening we decided to take a ride for ice cream.... my son read the reviews and decide Sprinkles was our choice ( distance was 25 Minutes Montgomery County) I waited patiently in line, met a few nice people great experience at first, I gave the young man my order he prepared my butter pecan ice cream but I watched him put his hands all around the cone inside the cone and then he sat my ice cream on the dirty counter , I nicest said babe could you make me a new cone and expressed that I wasn’t pleased with how he handled my ice cream he apologize and started to make me a new one ( no attitude he had a smile , that was great) so as he’s scooping my ice cream Katie asked my son was he being helped he said no I looked at her and she said are you together we said yes “ then said well stay together then he will help you” it was what she said completely it was her rude tone and unprofessional behavior it annoyed me I have children older gen her and I didn’t appreciate her rude tone..... there was a guy my age working near the back I got his attention and I expressed that Katie was rude..... he did say he was sorry for what I experienced and that he would speak with her but then he also mentioned that she’s been working hard!!! I said her working hard is no excuse for rudeness.... I drove 25 minutes to get the experience I read about that didn’t happen.... management should be aware of rude behavior that could possible deter people from making any purchases. Hoping in the future that the customer service would be stellar and that anyone purchasing ice cream, milk stakes or anything from this establishment would feel welcomed and...

I thought we found a really good neighborhood ice cream shop, but thought wrong. We went in about 15 minutes before closing and when we walked in neither of the two young guys working said anything to us. We stood at the ice cream counter and finally the guy looked up to ask what I wanted. At that point my husband decided he wasn’t getting anything because of the terrible attitude from the workers. Of course I still wanted to fill my craving lol so I got my ice cream. But it’s sucks that no one could even say hi.. it’s a business.

Then after completing my order I stepped away to talk to the other worker and the guy at the counter asked my husband if he wanted a bag and he said no. Then I came back to ask for a bag and the guy rudely said I thought I asked you if you wanted one. Him and my husband then had this weird stare down and it was uncomfortable for me because we literally didn’t do anything wrong.

In 2023 I don’t want to make this a black and white issue and scream racism because I don’t want to believe that people can still be that silly and I hope that not the case.

All in all we’ll find a new ice cream shop because we can’t spend our money here. That was so uncalled for and it ruined my experience of filling my ice...

My family and I were there a couple days for the second time and there were two girls working one was just standing around and the girl that took our order was moving at a snails pace. I was in there with my 2yr old and 8yr old son as well as my husband we ordered a few different things for us, I got the cookies and cream ice cream and there was many ice chips in it I couldn’t even enjoy it so after I ate half of it I couldn’t do it anymore and it ended up in the trash, so that was a waste of a large cup of ice cream. On top of it my husband’s banana split was so small definitely not worth the price very disappointing. Also it would be nice if they had a sign in the door or window that you don’t accept cards it’s 2024 and I’m sorry but not everyone carries cash around thank god I have Venmo or else my kids woulda been crying cause they wouldn’t have been able to eat their ice cream. Definitely a disappointment for the second time around giving this place another chance, I’m sorry but after this I won’t be coming back definitely not worth a 40 minute drive again. Wish I had pictures but I was too upset...
