Tous les Jours - Elkins Park — Restaurant in Cheltenham Township

I came in here for the first time yesterday while waiting for my session to start at Stretch Zone across the lot. I had been saying that I wanted to pop in here for some time now. And I'm glad that I finally did!

For starters, the cafe is IMMACULATELY CLEAN. I love that they have tons of unique pastries to choose from. Things that you wouldn't find anywhere else. There's definitely something here for everyone! They also have a rewards membership, which is nice. Aside from pastries, they also serve coffee, matcha, and tea. I'm not a fan of coffee or matcha. But I may try a tea next time.

I purchased a sliced of lemon pound cake. I looooove lemon( especially pound cake), but this was a tad bit too sweet for me.

Along with a curry croquette, something I never had before. It was delicious and much needed after my session at Stretch Zone. Since I hadn't eaten anything all day! I only wish that it had more filling.

I also got a garlic and cheese croissant. This surprisingly tasted really sweet.(Despite nothing sweet being listed on the ingredients sign) And the sweetness overshadowed the flavor that should have came from the cheeses and garlic, I felt like I couldn't even taste either. Which was the main reason for me buying it. As I love garlic and the cheeses listed.

The custard cream soboro was another pastry that I decided to try. Although I was on the fence about it, given that I usually don't like custards. I wound up liking this a lot!

I recieved the butter cookies as a welcome gift for signing up to be a rewards member. Those were good, but a bit mouth drying.

All in all, I still look forward to trying out other pastries.

UPDATE: I came in here last week and tried out. The Cinnamon Cloud bites and Almond Chocolate Coconut cookie. the cookie was delicious. I'll definitely be buying more. The bites are good, they kind of remind me of a donut. But the dough isn't light and airy like a donut. It's...

We received a birthday cake with MOLD on it. While setting up the cake for my sister's birthday, we discovered that there was mold on top of the cake in various spots, and so we were unable to even set up the birthday cake for my sister and have her blow out the candles and such. We properly stored the cake for only over half a day, so we did not let it sit in long or improper conditions for the mold to grow; the cake was already like that out of the store. What a disgrace. I have never encountered a moldy birthday cake until now. BUYER BEWARE; if that's how our cake came, I can only imagine how their other products are prepared and/or maintained in this store. You're better off buying a cake from Paris Baguette in H-Mart 5 minutes away or even your excessively sweet cake from your local Giant; at least they won't have mold on them. Careless disregard for such an important product that is used for life events...pathetic. Never coming back again, and I hope other people will also think twice about coming here.

UPDATE: My dad went back to the store with the moldy cake and some idiot had the audacity to ask for the receipt of the cake? You’re the only Tous les Jours in the area by a long distance, think we got the cake from another location and drove it all this way? Pure stupidity....

Cute place but

I visited today 7/3 and ordered two COFFEE drinks and picked up some pastries. When it came time for my order # to be called (#23) I went up to the pick up counter but two people intercepted me and grabbed the drink instead. They began drinking them and walked off to sit at a nearby table.

Confused, I approached an employee telling them that those were my drinks and even showed my receipt stating I was #23. The employee was frazzled understandably, but proceeded to make their original order FIRST (two GREEN tea drinks) and I just had to watch the two people finish my drinks & then get their new set of drinks.

Nothing was done to right this wrong, and instead the two customers got two free drinks while all I got was a long wait time.

This whole ordeal would’ve been fine if I just had gotten my drinks before the people who stole got...
