The Experience: I ordered a roast beef sandwich dinner for takeout. When asked what I wanted on the sandwich, I was curious about what most people choose. The staff recommended the "three-way" option (mayo, cheese, BBQ sauce), and I’m so glad I took their suggestion! The dinner comes with two sides, so I went with onion rings and a side salad. My order was ready in under 10 minutes, and I was on my way. However, after I drove off, I realized they never asked for my salad dressing preference, and when I checked the bag, I saw there was no dressing included, this was disappointing, especially since I didn't have any at home.
The Food: The 3-way roast beef sandwich was delicious and tender, leaving me fully satisfied. It wasn’t overly drenched in sauce, which I appreciated, though I wish I had asked for the sauce on the side so I could drizzle it on each bite. The onion rings, however, were a letdown. The breading kept falling off, and they tasted pretty bland. The salad came in a large portion, but again, no dressing was included, which was frustrating.
The Rating: Overall, I’d rate my experience a 3.5 out of 5, with the roast beef sandwich itself earning a solid 4.5. The disappointing onion rings and lack of salad dressing impacted the score, but I’ll be back to try other menu items because the main dish was...
Read moreWhen they're on they're unbeatable. Monster sized calzones; I almost dropped the first large I ever ordered because I was not expecting it to weigh that much. Portion sizes are great on all of their items which you don't see as often anymore. You're not going to unwrap a $10 sub and find more bread than meat. With their super beef it's almost the opposite problem that there just isn't enough bread to hold it together which is not something to complain about.
The Abington location's interior is a little more drab and dirty than the Quincy location and unlike the latter there's rarely people sitting down to eat. Staff is always friendly and quick and plenty of convenient parking. I don't get delivery often but when I have it's always arrived hot.
For whatever reason there's a consistent inconsistency. Five out of six times it's tremendous but for whatever reason that sixth time just falls flat. I started with the Quincy location and it was exactly the same; best around most of the time but you were rolling the dice on a dud but I was happy to do so since it was great most of the time. Anywhere has an off day but been going for 13 years and the pattern roughly holds. Haven't been able to correlate it to different crews or times, it just is. The one exception is their super beef; always a...
Read moreI'd love to put a higher rating but I cant right now. The food is great. But service depends. Every time I've gone in there the last few months they have gotten mine and/ or my guest's order wrong. Once my son asked for onion rings and got a salad. Another time my husband asked for pizza with pepperoni and got plain cheese. I also ordered rice for a side and got fries. Another time I ordered onion rings and got salad. Then another time I ordered buffalo chicken and got regular chicken . Then last night I ordered pastromi dinner and got a cheeseburger. ( actually a hamburger they forgot the cheese) and all those times they repeated the orders when we'd ordered so they knew what we said. I mentioned the times they were wrong to them except the one frim.last night I figured I'd just leave s review. I'm now will be thinking twice before going back there. Well if I do go back there if I order a cheeseburger they will give me...
