I am so disappointed with this place, I've come here for subs for years. It was always the best sub place around. Lately, about the past 2-3 times I’ve come here something was off about the food. Today I went here and the subs were TERRIBLE. I noticed it was different people working there so I’m not sure if the change in employees is why this has been an issue every time I’ve come here lately but I keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt even though one of last times I’ve came here I had gotten sick from the meat. But today the meat in my steak and cheese was all gristle I couldn’t even chew it and the Italian sub with everything on it that I ordered was just a meat sub with nothing on it. It was just the worst experience I’ve ever had and now I feel like I may even get sick from what I just attempted to eat. Unfortunately I think the younger kids are going to be the down fall of this place. When I come here and the adults that have been working there for years are there, the food is on point. But when I order and it’s strictly high school kids my meal is disgusting and inedible. I ordered a small meat ball sub, and the “meat balls” were just ground beef smushed into a roll. Typically I get like 1 or 2 WHOLE meat balls per half of sub. There was zero whole meat ball in this. If I formed the meat balls out of what I had I’d probably have 1 whole meat ball total. It was 90% roll. The beef was also pink. They don’t cut the subs in half either. My boyfriend got the cheeseburger sub with bacon. Zero care into making the bacon crispy or fresh. It is a locally, family owned shop, I think. Called my order in, a steak n cheese with mushrooms & onions in a wrap. It was generously packed with the steak & cheese and plenty of mushrooms & onion. It was for my wife & she loved it so much, she asked for one more the next day & I got one, too. We loved it. 1st visit was all girls shift. Next day was all guys shift. Both were super friendly on the phone & in person. This place has been here awhile. Like most family, long termed owned, it looks like the appearance hasn't been updated since it opened.
