The cellar is definitely named very appropriately; it is a smaller sized bar/pub placed pretty much underground, just like a cellar is!! :-) It is right in the center of Abington by the railroad tracks, and is definitely a cool local place to go & meet up with a few friends for pizzas and beers. Their prices are very much fair, and actually pretty damn cheap. They have great cheap barroom style pizzas and draft beers...I would definitely recommend either their buffalo chicken pizza, the greek salad with grilled chicken on top, or even just a cheese pizza cooked crispy. Whether you call ahead for takeout or eat there, you definitely will not find a cheaper bar pizza that tastes as good. They have live entertainment on certain nights; either a band plays, or even sometimes a dj. It is definitely a fun place to go, but it is a bit on the louder side, as are a lot of small local bars. But the cellar definitely has a special vibe to it that makes it uniquely better than most local pubs...Maybe it's the tasty cheap priced menu, or the fun time you'll have drinking while listening to some good music with friends, also DO NOT let me spare the fact that they have the most friendly staff. There are a couple of girls & one guy that have all served me. They are all very nice & friendly bartenders with great attitudes & very speedy service. Also the guy that guards the door is a nice guy too...So whether you order takeout or eat there, you are guaranteed to have a really good meal, and you won't burn a hole in your...

Horrible experience. Someone suggested I go there. So after work I stopped by. I sat for about 7 min. Before the bartender approached with menu. I ordered pineapple and ginger ale for a drink and steak tips. 10 min later bartender brings over the wrong drink when I sent it back she gave to a guy for free 2 seats down. I still have no drink. I'm thirsty. Just worked 13 hours in sum. She walks by 3 more times to operate keno. Still no drink. Been there 25 min. No drink. So I get up start to leave. Tell her nevermind. I can't wait any longer for my pineapple ginger. She says." I brought you a drink" what!!! It was the wrong one to begin with. Went to Rockland bar and grill. Had a killer steak and my drink within 2 minutes if sitting down. Now that's service. Sorry Cellar...I work too hard for my money to spend it somewhere that does not care enough to get it right. Bad service and a smug snappy bartender. Mayne if I was a dude and not a female, she would have gotten that...

Had some wings here. Not bad at all. Too, $2.50 Bud drafts which is cheaper then at my local watering hole, Purples Saloon.

Met a good fellow who is retired from Nat. Park Service and a good fellow who repairs stuff.

Great Americans!

Note: For I.D. this place only accepts the following: Mass. ID/or licence, Military ID, or passport. So If you are not fugly like me, and look older the dirt, you may have to produce one of those accepted forms of I.D. The bartender stated this policy is in place due to fake I'd problems

But the greatest thing about this venue, is their tribute to USMC SGT., Daniel...

One of the better bars in the area. $2 draft specials on select days, and $2 Pizzas! Cheap and hard to beat. The taste is great too. Attentive bartenders keep the drinks flowing... and they have specials all week. Multiple big screen TVs, and Keno. 2021 Update - No more $2 Pizzas. $2 and some change draft specials. This place is trying to survive the Pandemic like every other small business. The food is still pretty good.

Food and drinks, badly bad. I would have pay more and eat proper food instead of pre-frozen sea food. The wine served was 1€ bottle from the supermarket, that was the taste. Music atmosphere is fine. Don t put old drunk men to dance in the fire, put some nice lady dressed in Greece color, that fire dance with that old man dressed in jeans and t shirt like from the street corner was non sense. I will no repeat, sorry.
