Beijing Express Restaurant — Restaurant in Accokeek

Our search may finally be over. Today we sampled the cuisine here and were not disappointed. The reviews I have read do not paint a detailed picture, so I figured I’d give you an update.

The restaurant is off of the highway making it convenient on your way to/from work. The parking lot and building are somewhat stashed behind other shops though, slightly confusing.

The service was good, though they still have the glass window and speaker system architecture in place. (Somewhat hard to hear him speak) I suspect a remaining circumstance of COVID.

I ordered the Mongolian beef w/white rice, General Tso’s Chicken w/white rice and the General Tso’s chicken wings w/fried rice. The entree flavors were all delicious and the white rice was average as expected. The chicken wings were small, but I ordered 10 and it actually came with 12. (I suspect to compensate for the size)

The only bad note I have for the food is regarding the “fried rice”. It is in fact a yellow rice, likely steamed, and tossed with bean sprouts and onions. It lacks all flavor, and definitely missed the mark for “fried rice”. I will not be ordering this item again.

Otherwise all three dishes were ready in 15 minutes, and I got a free shrimp egg roll for ordering over a certain amount. (Egg roll was average, needed duck sauce) My total was $42.

It was my First time visiting, I walked in due to my appointment down the street not Goin as planned, I walked into the shop with only 2 1/2 hrs to spare, I told him I needed a polish change on feet & asked how much, he replied 15$ and fill in, he did my feet and told me 18$ I asked why he replied more for polish removal I did understand due to polish change already being a bit high so why wasnt the polish removal included, so I went on to get my drying but noticed he started someone else. I just got off the phone with Beijing Express within the past hour. I have lived close by for over 2 decades and have ordered food from there since they first opened. Just now, when the pricing quoted didn't sound correct and I inquired for clarification, I was rudely laughed at and told that I was given the correct pricing and I heard wrong. I place a high priority on customer service when patronizing foodservice establishments.
