Seafood Hut — Restaurant in Acushnet

Very POOR experience I had today... the young lady that took my order was extremely rude- ordered hot dog special (As described On the menu board includes 2 hot dogs, chips, drink with French fries for $6.75) The employee didn’t ask what we would like on the hot dogs, so I asked ... no big deal. Once food was ready I asked for ketchup for the fries- ohh I guess that was too much to ask for by the heavy sigh and dirty look I received. I then asked what chips were available to choose from - as that is what was missing from our order - she processed to say that it doesn’t come with chips. I said that’s what the menu board stated - she then gave me a huge attitude & said it was either chips or French fries - I again reiterated that’s not what your menu board states. HUGE attitude and shuts the window ! Horrible service and not...

Once again no seafood chowder was made that day. To top it off we ordered 2 fish sandwiches( price went up almost $2 from last year. Now 10.50 each!!!!) The piece of fish in the sandwiches was a whopping 2 bites. Like a chicken nugget sized piece of fish. Basically they buy one whole filet for probably $6 and cut into about 15 pieces to make 15 sandwiches and make about $160 off a $6 piece of fish. This owner is obviously a bad gambler and has alot if debt and rips off his local customers to pay his debts or he/she is just out to screw everyone. Place went way downhill over last 2 years and should just close its doors for good. Take my word and don't waste your hard earned money to let this greedy owner live his life of luxury on your dollar. CLOSE YOUR DOORS...

The Seafood Hut is a hit or miss depending on what you are ordering and who is doing the cooking. The seafood is good. Not great, but adequate. The portions tend to be smaller than some of their competitors. The burgers are a huge disappointment. The patties are rubber pucks that you can purchase at Walmart or any grocery store. The fries are ok. Some days they will be cooked well done and other days they are undercooked. My wife had ordered the grilled cheese sandwich a few times. The bread is always burnt to the point of being unedible. I want to like this place but i can't. We will not be going back. They lack consistency with their dishes. Two...
