MAYDAY, MAYDAY SALTY CHICKEN!! CALLED MY BANK& GOT MY MONEY BACK
I came by on 26th of Nov to order a 4 piece chicken strip dinner that I wanted to save for the next day for lunch, because I knew I would be cooking all day on the 27th for Thanksgiving dinner. When it came time to eat it, the chicken was extremely salty and I was not able to finish after a couple of bites.
I tried calling the store to speak with a manager and no one would pick up the phone. I tried calling other surrounding Zaxby's stores and- not surprisingly -they were able to pick up. So- not sure why the store that I bought the chicken from allowed the phone to ring almost 9x with no answer.
This then- frustratingly made me drive almost 18 miles to the store to bring the food back only to be met by a guy named Tim who said he was the manager -stated he was not able to refund me back my food bcas I left my receipt at home- although I paid with a credit card - he also said he was not there the day I bought it- LOL. As if he needed to be there to handle ONLY situations on days he works on and not able to make managerial decisions on situations that occur outside his workday. I guess he thought it was best that I contact the manager that worked on the 26th of Nov and kind of coordinate a day& meeting time to bring back the food that was good for that manager rather than what was best for me-the customer in that moment. Tim, ( whom I don't know how he got his job & title) could not have made my experience even worse! He was not able to fix, refund, improve or change my experience for the better which is what a manager does if he understood what to do.
Zaxby's according to corporate is able to look up the day and time you bought your food also using the last four of the card number if no receipt is present and Tim refused to do his job by stating "we don't do that here." Well they did so the last time I had an issue a few years ago and it was over the phone. Tim is either unfamiliar with his job in helping me get my money back/offering to at least replacing the meal....or he just didn't give a shit. I think it's both. He also said he wasn't allowed to give out the name of the regional manager, which is untrue because its public knowledge if I wanted to look it up
I do know that the regional manager has multiple stores under him and the point of me asking is that not only will I not come back to this location but any of the other locations that the regional manager resides over due to the fact that if he/she is able to hire a manager like Tim who can treat a customer like me and handle a non-complicated situation by making it complicated then just imagine how the other stores are managed/trained. I've already lost 2 brain cells that I can't get back by talking to Mr. Tim, smh.
I called my bank that night and filed a claim then called the corporate office to file a complaint. With the issues that I've had at the store prior and just recently I will never ever come back to their salty ass chicken spot again.

Read moreThis is the worst Zabys experience I've ever had. This place is managed by a bunch of narcissistic idiots. I went through the drive through and got all the way home with my food to realize they hadn't even given me my whole order and what they had given me was wrong. I ordered a meal with no sauce only to find sauce all over the bottom of my food and box. Frustrated that I did not get the food I paid for and that what I was given was covered in sauce which I'm allergic to, I called and was told they'd replace my meal and I could pick up what they left out of the bag. I drive all the way back up to the restaurant only to be given a hard time from the manager. She insisted there was no sauce on my meal when there was CLEARLY sauce ALL over the inside of the box and all over my food. There shouldn't have been any sauce in the box at all to begin with especially since I clarified that I am allergic. I waited for at least 20 minutes in the location to receive my replacement food. Only to be given what I'm sure was intentionally old reheated food, cold fries with literally no seasoning, and sauce now on my other item that was originally left out of my order. Read moreI know it was close to close but I still went and arrived at 9:50. the line did not move AT ALL. I used to work fast food. so I assumed they weren't handing food out so they didn't have to take anymore orders. I've never seen a zaxbys do that. well the line finally moves and I get the the speaker at 9:59 and the order taker tells me she can't take my order bc they're closed. I tell her it's 9:59 and she tells me that they close at 10 and they took the last 5 orders. that was ridiculous. I was in line before 10, and at the speaker still before 10. if you were open, you're supposed to take my order, close at 10 means, you close at 10 and 10 is when you don't take orders anymore, not 9:59 we close at 10 but I don't wanna help you so you can't order. when I worked at fast food we closed at 12, if it was 11:59 and I heard that beep letting me know someone arrived, I TOOK THEIR ORDER AND WAS HAPPY TO SERVE. and then don't try and argue with the customer 🙄 😒 like?? where or who did you learn your horrible customer service from? do better zaxbys, maybe hire...
