Just tried to eat at this restaurant. My wife ordered spaghetti and meatballs and I ordered 12" pizza. My wife's food came and first and the waitress indicated that my pizza was on it's way. Seven to ten mins later, the waitress never came back. I called the phone and got an answer machine as there were 2 people up front. I walked up and a different waitress came and she got our waitress to come to the table. I told her I didn't want the pizza and I wasn't paying for it. So we paid for spaghetti and meat balls and left. As walking to the door, the 2 waitress up front and I told them that the spaghetti and meat balls was good but they need to get their timing down. Then a lady, not sure if it was manager or owner came out and asked what the issue was. I told her to ask the other 2, I was not repeating myself. Back in the day I was a waiter and a bartender and these days I've never seen such poorly run establishments. It's as good as it leaders. I don't want anything for free but as a good establishment, they should have happened is they should've given me the pizza for free. They said new restaurants close after 6 months. Unless things change, this one will be closed before Christmas.
No way for me to reply below. I told my wife the spaghetti and meatballs were Olive Garden good. But your service leaves a lot to be desired. People want good food and good service. If the service sucks and the food is good, they might come back. If the service is good and food sucks, well you get what you deserve. If it was the young lady’s first day as a waitress, then use this as constructive criticism. You don’t tell some the other food is right behind the one you just delivered to the table. You don’t disappear for 7-10 mins without visiting the customer’s table. I saw the other young lady on her phone which is fine if she has everyone taken care of. I’m not asking for service people to come sit with us to carry on useless conversations. Just be attentive and aware of the situation and you will do good. I know times are tough and I’m fortunate to have what I have. I tip well in a good food good service situation. Make it a good food good service situation and everyone will tip well and your business...
Read moreMy co-worker and I had a crazy day at work and wanted to try this place now that the opening rush was over. The host told us it was a 10 min wait, and it was probably shorter than that which was fabulous! We got seated and waited a couple minutes longer for our server than we wanted, but really not a big deal- we also work in service so we totally get it. We ordered a sweet tea and a water, gluten free pizza, and tortellini. I also asked for a side of ranch. She took our order and was very kind! Please let me preface that I'm not irate or anything more than bummed out. We didn't get our drinks until after our food, and our server was sitting at the bar chatting with the host/staff while we didn't have drinks. I totally understand forgetting, but I believe she had other tables that she was checking on. It was a little frustrating not having drinks while we could see her sitting and chatting. The male food runner brought our food out, and we asked for our drinks when he had a minute and he seemed confused that we didn't have drinks yet. He brought our food, drinks, and side of ranch in 3 separate runs to the kitchen before we saw our server. She came over as soon as everything was dropped off and asked if everything was okay before we started eating. My co worker liked the tortellini but was kinda disappointed at such a small portion for the price. She got two garlic knots with the order. I got their gluten free meat pizza and I was very impressed that the dough was made in house! That's a new one for me! And it was very good and I believed was a decent portion size. Our drinks did not get refilled, but I understand I could have asked her to and I can't expect her to read our minds. The bottom line here is, I do not mean to bash our server- everyone has bad days and they're still new. I wanted to talk to a manager about this rather than posting a review but I couldn't find one, and we were really just ready to get home. I'm only saying what I'm saying because our server won't know why we didn't enjoy our visit if we didn't tell someone. Everyone has room for growth and she totally could've had an off day. Just wanted to bring this up, as the food is good but service could improve....
Read moreAlways on the lookout for a good Italian restaurant, my girlfriend and I decided to try Mangiamo’s in Kennesaw last weekend. Sadly, it is $40+ of my money and 2hrs of my time that I will never get back. When we arrived, we were seated immediately and were impressed with a casual and simple but nice seating area. Our waitress came over within a couple of minutes to take our drink order. So far , a nice experience. Sadly, it was about to nosedive. We did not order an appetizer and for our entrees, I ordered Tagliatelle Bolognese and my girlfriend ordered Fettuccine Alfredo. A table next to us was seated before us but ordered after we did. There was another table behind us that was seated well after we were. So we got a little aggravated when the food for both of those tables came out before ours. Another 10-15 minutes goes by and still nothing. A waitress from another table comes over to ask how we are doing. We let her that we were not happy because we have been waiting entirely too long for our food. She asks what we ordered, we tell her and she responds with “well the tagliatelle takes a little longer to cook.” Not 30 minutes longer!!! After about another 10 minutes they finally bring…….my “Tagliatelle”, the longer cooking dish. Now, anyone familiar with Tagliatelle Bolognese knows that tagliatelle is a wide, thick noodle and bolognese is a thick, hearty “sauce” that’s more like a stew. It’s more meat, less sauce. My dish was fettuccine with spaghetti sauce. Nothing close to what I ordered. After another 10 minutes my girlfriend’s entree was brought to the table. Half-cooked (not al dente) fettuccine noodles that she could barely cut and a sauce that resembled mildly flavored heavy cream. When the manager came to our table…..wait…..we never saw nor heard from him/her other that they told our waitress to give us a free dessert. So this was highly disappointing dining experience but fortunately it was our last. Going to stick with Fusco’s in...
