So went in with my 2 kids & my parents on a Saturday at 5pm. It was only us and one other table of 4. Ordered the “Create Your Own Grilled Tacos.” I asked for three steak tacos , 2 with lettuce & cheese and the other with cilantro & onion. This though is not allowed! You have to order all three tacos with the same toppings. I asked “really?” and “you can’t make an exception?” She would not allow this to happen. When I asked why, the waitress explained it was because the cooks need to be able to put the tacos together in a hurry. I said, “we aren’t in a hurry.” (And there were only two tables sat in the entire restaurant). My request was still a NO GO. Very odd..the restaurant isn’t a fast food restaurant (they plan to have alcohol eventually), it wasn’t lunch, we stated we weren’t in a hurry and there were no customers in the restaurant. So I’m still baffled...I guess that’s why I’m writing a review to process this trauma (joking...sort of..still joking). Other than that the restaurant was very good. The waitress was pleasant and attentive, the food was good, place was clean, good lighting (pleasantly dim lights), had sports on the TVs, had a nice kid’s menu, and they serve coke products (way better than Pepsi). I’m perplexed now on wether or not to go back. I live close and would love a good Mexican restaurant/bar that is close by. Read moreMy wife and I love the food at Lalos and have ordered many times. Tonight we ordered through Uber eats. When the order arrived it was the wrong person’s order. We called and spoke to a male to inform him of the mistake. He confirmed on his end the order was for the wrong person and he gave ours to someone else. Full stop. I asked if he could just make another order and I’d come pick it up. He said “no we can’t we close in 20 minutes so call back tomorrow”. That didn’t make sense because we live less than 10 minutes away. I asked if I could talk to his manager and he said they weren’t there. I expressed how disappointing it was to be treated like this. No response. I asked for his name and he wouldn’t tell me. I asked again and he hung up. I was not being rude or combative. I remained calm and logical. Very very disappointed in this employees disregard and poor service. I will be stopping by tomorrow to talk to a manager. Great food. I hope this leads to better training in customer service. Read moreUpdated review 11/2021: We tried dine in for the first time. It was busy, both dine in and take out. It seems the kitchen struggles with balancing dine in vs take out orders (as many places are these days with the higher volume of take out). The food is still delicious. Perhaps it is due to the staffing shortage, but I honestly feel we would have had better and faster service with a take out order. The staff is friendly. If you do dine in, be patient and make sure to order enough chips/dips/drinks to last a while.
Original review: First time customer. I highly recommend Lalos! Ordered online, simple and easy. Even got a 1st time customer online discount automatically added! Time quoted was accurate of 25 minutes when ordering at 5 ish pm on a Friday. Based on a previous review by someone, I did call to confirm the pick up time after ordering. Everything was well packaged and amazing! We had the Burrito Loco, Steak Fajita Burrito, tacos, cheese dip and chips. Next time I will order the hard shell tacos with the shell on the side.
