Went there for an extremely painful sore throat and fever (receptionist was super nice and empathetic, I would probably be giving the place 5 stars if she was in charge) doctor said he was going to test me for strep and mono. Nurse came in a barely touched infected area with the swab and said they both came back negative…hmmm wonder why? Then my doctor came back in and looked at my throat and said we don’t know what it is but here is an antibiotic…okay? Two days later my symptoms worsen and I find myself in the ER. Doctor takes one look at my throat and says it’s strep. Also commented on how weird of a prescription the doctor from the urgent care prescribed me. Next day I immediately started feeling better and did some research on the first antibiotic that the urgent care doctor prescribed. Turns out it has nothing to do with helping throat infections…what the heck. My main point here is when you go in you need to stand up for yourself and make sure you get what you need out of the experience cause the doctors and nurses made it very clear that they don’t care about you. Ever since my primary care physician switched to this office I have had nothing but trouble. Due to past traumas with PAs & other doctors I’m very skeptical to see anyone but my primary. My primary went on maternity leave and I simply asked to be switched to a different primary doctor. First they told me it was against policy and said the office manager would contact me. The person who contacted me wasn’t an office manager and not even a head of the department I was calling to. She then told me no doctors were accepting new patients and never once mentioned the policy. I am a long time patient here I see Amy Bell and I have been blessed with the personal care and positive changes in my health because of her staying with me and sending me to wherever I needed to help make the changes. There has never been a hard time reaching the office. The response time is great. The office staff is unusually friendly esp for a Dr office.
