This is one of two restaurants in Adairsville. As a recent transplant for work, this has been a go to for most people of my company for lunch. Two months in, after visiting the restaurant multiple times, my friend and I got the bill that was considerably higher. We were told that there was an extra charge for the shrimp, which no one prior had told us. While understandable we were non plussed and surprised by an additional charge with no prior information. So we continued to go there but not as much as we could. We were also traveling for work and were not in the area. Well today we went in and since it was crowded at lunch and we needed to be back to the office we asked for the order to go. We were told there would be an extra charge for that too. At least this time we were told in advance. The food is sub par, the restaurant knows it’s one of two places and the larger of the two places and takes advantage of that. It’s...
Read moreOpened the door and walked into the restaurant at approximately 10:23 PM. The hostess standing behind the counter automatically said “we are closed“. My fiancé responded “It’s only 10:20” to which they replied “we’re sorry we’re still closed”. Had ANY other experience been decent, I would have never had an issue with this restaurant, as well as their response to us showing up so close to closing. Normally I just let it go and I would not be leaving a review at this moment (across the street at Jefferson’s). we normally sit at the bar and have had the same bartender every single time; “Santa”. She has been the furthest thing from the jolly-ole-soul that’s associated with that joyous name. Dismissive, neglectful, and just plain rude. The customers cannot be herded out of the door fast enough at quitting time, ensuring an empty house for the employees’ own fiesta...
Read moreWe moved to Ga from Ca and tried a lot of "Mexican" restaurants here and this is our go-to so far (from Cartersville to Calhoun). Great Margaritas (frozen & on-the-rocks). Not my favorite for beef tacos (uses ground beef for tacos, etc which is my biggest complaint) so I tried shrimp tacos and awesome! Other complaint is the beef fajitas-served fast and Not sizzling! I prefer hot plate with caramelized onion with veggies and bell peppers cooked well. Warning: large is large! Seating and atmosphere is good (bright lighting; sports on TV, and seats aren't torn up). Also, it's a stand-alone traditional restaurant and not a hike in...
