Food Lion — Local services in Adairsville

Just meh. It’s close, that’s a plus, but I’d rather drive to Cartersville or Rome to Publix. High prices, low quality here. Beef in Meat department is good, but supply is sporadic, I go a lot to get a certain cut of meat and it’ll be out of stock. Stay away from the “fresh” chicken, it is terrible, like never had worse terrible, and they only sell their house brand. Never had any bakery items because nobody and I mean nobody can match Publix on that. Deli looks atrocious, Bargain basement generic sliced meat, where’s the boars head? Half the Produce is rotten, fruit flies everywhere. I wouldn’t even think to buy produce here. Grocery department is sub par, lots of out of stock items that never get restocked, like it’s been weeks or months and still empty. Workers seem friendly enough if you catch them on a good day, some days they completely ignore you. They are remodeling, so I am hoping for some improvements, but based on the last 2 years experiences, I’m not holding...

Great place and helpful employees....cashier didn't give me credit for my freebie coupons and ended up overcharging me. The mgr was prompt and kind to help get things adjusted correctly and I got $17 back in cash after the adjustments. The kiosk to sign up for the rewards program is by the entrance so don't forget to do that BEFORE you get to the checkout..I was a 1st time shopper there and the cashier asked me to jump over to the kiosk to fill out info to get their loyalty card so i could get the sale prices on my items...it was super inconvenient and awkward to be holding up the line to do that vs the cashiers just having the option to give you a loyalty card..luckily he was still ringing up my groceries while i was at the kiosk but never felt so pressured to type my info super fast and race back to the cashier...it felt like a speed relay game show. Oh well. Now I know and hopefully...

It's a local grocery store. It's gotten better over the years with regard to the different brands they carry, but I seriously cannot stand that announcement they make as the closing time approaches. "Attention Food Lion customers. The time is 10:40pm and the store will be closing in twenty minutes. Please make your final selections and make your way to the register for a fast and friendly check out." Then you get to hear another announcement at 19 minutes, then at 18 minutes.... Okay, not that frequently but every five minutes until closing. I think it's rude and disrespectful. Lock your doors at closing and go about your closing duties if people are still shopping at 11:01pm... Then make your announcement. It's really freaking annoying to remind me every five minutes that you are ready to go home and don't give a crap that I...
