El Chilito Bravo — Restaurant in Addison Township

I made a wrong turn coming out of O'Hare airport and ended up in a surrounding neighborhood, beyond the service entrances to the airport. It was well after 1:00 p.m., and I was hungry. I checked Google Maps, and the reviews for this place looked surprisingly good. So I pulled in and discovered why. I had a fabulous chicken burrito that was toasted in the outside and a Diet Coke. It really hit the spot! The lady who runs the place was so nice and friendly, and while she apologized for her English, she made sure to understand exactly how I wanted the food prepared. It was delicious! 😋

Unfortunately, I left some keys there, but I did not figure that out until many hours later after I was in a hotel room far from the restaurant, which was closed by that time. It turns out the owner kept my keys safely near the cash register, and I was able to quickly retrieve them from her on my way back to O'Hare for my flight out. Unfortunate me and my wife won't be returning back to this place. They lack on attention on detail. I was a regular customer and in multiple ocassion I have explain to them my wife is allergic to chill or any hot salsa. Yesterday we went and even they remember us and they remember my wife is allergic she order a torta and even we knew she remember we told her again no chill no hot salsa. They brought the order and she started eating it and she felt if was too hot and then I had a bite and it was hot. She lost her voice and it was hard for her to breath. I can't afford coming to a place they can retain this kind of detail. They keep asking same question all the time and for no reason. You can have good food but you lack on service...

Love the food!! it was my first time here, won't be my last. I found the atmosphere very pleasant and the restaurant was very clean.. I had the Chicken in mole sauce and it reminded me of my childhood home cooked meals made by my grandmother. My husband had the green chicken enchiladas and he almost finished the entire plate which is rare. We both left very satisfied. I chose this place based on the reviews and found it funny that someone gave a low review because his wife was allergic to spicy LOL sounded so funny he was a regular customer, he should have been a good husband and maybe chose Italian or a restaurant that doesn't specialize in spicy foods LOL.
