Weāve visited this place once before our last visit and even then we were very disappointed with the staff, no one came to greet us at the door (or in general) we sat ourselves, which is fine.. but then I had to get someoneās attention to get menus, but after that they knew we were there and took our order, the food was so-so, so it was alright, but this last visit, the wait staff very intentionally ignored our table, even grabbing dirty plates and drinks right next to us, after about 10-15 minutes I went to look for menus and the lady had the audacity to ask if weāve been served⦠like really now lol. We probably sat at our table for 20+ minutes. The waitress came walking in our direction even looking at us looking at them, they did a whole loop around grabbing glasses and went back to the kitchen. No I didnāt come here for āpokerā night we had a long day and were hungry. After sitting for long enough we gave the waitress one more try and she did the same thing, bringing dirty glasses to the kitchen. We got up and left which is the first time weāve ever done that. Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me just start by saying Dean doesn't care about being in the customer service business. His words, so let that resonate for all you customers. Despite being a regular contribution to his bottom line, hes exhibited childish and unbecoming behavior as an owner. If a bartender or employee says its okay to grab a to go container or come behind the bar to look at a new system, thats on THEM, because I dont take it upon myself to make myself at home despite what Dean may think. Almost got the keys handed to me today because "if I feel like I can do better than I should run the business." Like I said, childish. Never have i voiced criticism(before now) or anything negative to warrant a response like that anyways..But speaking of doing better, do better at keeping your employees accountable instead of taking whatever frustration you have out on customers. Congratulations Dean, you got your last dollar...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIve Come to what used to be Chicken Manor in a small strip mall unit for years and now they have moved into JD MUGGS tavern. what a combination! Owner Mary and Dean are the coolest, hard working people around. The menu is filled with awesome dinners and snacks and, after just coming home from there tonight, I remember the reputation of dell rhea's and white fence farm as being the chicken places to go to in the 60's and 70's. HOWEVER i have to say, after trying both of those places, Muggs and Manor in addison has by far the best broasted chicken anywhere they have surpassed the old standards hands down!! The chicken is crispy and perfectly cooked EVERY time and the slaw is fantastic, and they have many other options on the menu too. they have broasted PORKCHOPS!!
The BEST!
Go try it! theyve done it since 1963. Ask Dean and Mary!
