I saw the high rating and thought this might be a good place to go to purchase my husband a bowling ball for his birthday. Boy, was I wrong. We bowl for fun, and not often. The kid who talked to us refused to sell my husband anything less than a 13 lb ball. My husband prefers 10. He has tried different weights, and he does best with 10. But the kid said 10 year olds use 10 lb balls, and my husband must be bowling wrong if he prefers a 10 lb ball. He even went so far as to explain that a bowling ball isn't a baseball or a football, so he must be trying to throw it like that. For the record, he doesn't. Recently switched to Star Pro Shop from my previous pro shop and couldn’t be happier. Tim was recommended by a friend of mine, and I am fairly new to bowling but very serious about it. Tim helped me with my Storm Crux Prime, Fever pitch and Roto Grip Idol pearl. He also corrected the drilling for my Storm Ice Storm spareball that was drilled somewhere else. I started bowling at Stardust Bowl several years ago. Stardust always has lanes available on weekdays and the staff is friendly. The lanes are super clean and we’ve never experienced a lane breakdown the entire time bowling there. They have a great pro shop with a very helpful and knowledgable staff.
