SBR used to be truly amazing. I love the pulled pork sandwich - so juicy, tender, flavorful, and fresh...
But recently (2023), the prices have nearly doubled and the quality has gone to hell. What used to cost $8 is now $18 and the portion has been cut by at least 2 oz while the freshness is severely lacking.
My most recent purchase was the 2 meat combo with Rib Tips and Pulled Pork plus Corn Maque Choux and Baked Beans... The pulled pork was barely enough to fit on a single bun, whereas previous orders I could get 2-3 hearty sandwiches from the 2-meat combo.
But the worst was the Rib Tips. They used to be tender, juicy, slightly chewy but overall edible. Now they are simply tough, leathery, and a single bite - if you don't chip a tooth on it - is so filled with cartilage and bone fragments, it's completely inedible.
The Corn Maque Choux triggered something in my esophagus... I don't know what the heck happened, but within 90 seconds of swallowing the first bite, my throat seized up and I threw up. I have never had the issue before with this item.
Today, only 12 hours later, even after brushing my teeth multiple times and downing a few glasses of water, I am still having acid reflux bile rising that tastes particularly like the barbecue sauce and Corn Maque Choux...
I'd rate the latest experience 1/2 a star due to the reduced portion sizes at nearly doubled price tag, if not for the fact that I love the sauce and the pulled...

Fox Morning News featured a segment about Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauce, Promoting the business, and it's location in Wood Dale, Illinois which I was never aware of.
My lady friend and I decided to make the trip from Chicago to Wood Dale to try Sweet Baby Rays Barbecue; what a disaster. Once arriving my lady friend and I felt very uncomfortable. The experience in the restaurant did not equate to the Sweet Baby Rays Product that my family, friends, and extended family have raved over for years.
The patrons and employees continued to stare at us while we're being seated. Some of the staff continued to stare by providing strange looks as we ate this went on for about 30-45 minutes. I thought it was just me, but my lady friend took notice as well; and sensed and experienced the exact same treatment.
The environment did not support what was portrayed. The treatment we received seemed to be race related. Please note: This is not being written to intentionally tear down a product that we've purchased for years, but rather to bring to light the poor service provided by Sweet Baby Rays in Wood Dale, Illinois.
Sweet Baby Rays in Wood Dale, Illinois is not a place that I'd recommend until a course correction is taken and training on customer service and...
Read moreI ordered through Uber eats and for the second time in a row, I was sent a half of rack of ribs when I ordered a full rack. The first time this happened, I didnt make it a big deal because I understand mistakes happen, but its no longer a mistake when it happens back to back.. They dont pay attention to the orders. I spoke to the assistant manager who didn't seem to care at all. He repeated the same thing I was told the first time when they screwed up my order "Accidents happen". After I placed my order the second time, I tried to call the restaurant to make sure they didnt mess up my order, but nobody answered the phone. I'm more upset because the assistant manager didnt care AT ALL. His response was .. "What do you want me to say other than mistakes happen". He then told me to have Ubereats call them for a refund, as if its not a big deal. Someone is now out of food because of the mistakes you guys keep making. How hard is it to read on a screen that a customer ordered a FULL rack of ribs??? That mistake can easily be prevented if you take time to not only read the orders but double check them before you send them out. Ubereats is not cheap and I don't have money to waste. I'm beyond pissed and will NEVER order from this...
