Rico's Tacos - Adel — Restaurant in Adel

We were looking for something more healthy than fast food during a road trip... nope. Very bad choice for that. Menu is pretty straightforward, we were the only people there so food came out quickly but wow, it was sooooo greasy!! The shrimp was slightly dry but not catastrophic. Based on the menu I had expected more than 1 corn tortilla but that wasn't the case and I ended up with a crumbly mess. I expected the chorizo to be a little fatty but it was just pouring out the bottom. After 10 napkins on 2 tacos, I gave up. I would have just said ok bad luck but then I looked at my son's steak quesadilla. It was drowning in oil. The teenager who eats mostly junk couldn't eat it. My husband said the chicken tacos were ok but not great. Definitely not a recommend,...

These guys right here, you can't get any better then Rico's. Not only is it super convenient that they travel but they have the best food I have ever had. The guys are always so very nice and very generous. Most days these guys will be cranking out orders like lightning, but let's face it when you are the best everyone comes out the woods to get Rico's Tacos so they might be busy. Still stop you guys, it's very much worth the wait, and they will keep you entertained until your food is ready. Thank you guys for always taking such amazing care of us Ladies over here. About a month ago, my husband and I drove from south Florida to Chicago. We pulled off the road in Adel to stretch our legs a bit, and find something to eat. We took a stroll around a block or two, and found Rico's Tacos. We decided to give it a try- and WOW!!! We eat all over the country- and we've NEVER had such good Mexican food! We ordered chicken quesadillas, and they were huge- more than enough for two meals each. And OOOHHHHH the flavor!! Last night (here in Chicago) I asked what my husband wanted for dinner and he said, "I want to drive back to Georgia and have Rico's Tacos!!" You've definitely made an impression- and we'll put you down as a permanent stop whenever we're in the area!...
