The #1 sleeper restaurant in Afton. The food is way above Afton quality, and I'm not trying to put anyone down by saying that; I was just that impressed because they have genuine, quality Japanese food. I got the bento box w/ orange chicken and it had fresh orange peel in it; the california roll had real crab; and I'm almost 100% sure they served actual wasabi, not the green died horseradish paste (it was more mild, had natural color variation and looked like someone mashed a root into a watery paste, better than any wasabi I've had), the rangoon, spring roll, and egg drop soup were great too. I also tried their salmon roll, and the salmon was FAT, it was super delicious. I would not be nervous getting sushi in Afton, it was fantastic. The menu has a wide range (sushi rolls, pad Thai, and classic Chinese dishes) but everything was fresh and well made that my party ordered. I can almost guarantee that the owner family lives in the back of the restaurant and eats all the food on the menu which keeps the ingredients fresh, as well as higher quality. The food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! I chose a combo meal and from my very first bite I thought OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!! I have never had egg foo young that delicious, I have never had vegetables and meat sooooo tender. Served piping hot by a kind and sweet lady (I wish I had her name)! As I waited for my food I observed couple after couple who turned out to be regulars telling the waitress “see you next week”! I will be one of them! Best option! Don’t judge the place by the store front or the tables. They can’t really change lease agreements. Judge the place on the fact they care about you. The food is spot on and accurate. The service is the best in the area. We have tried 7 places. Those 7 places have been beyond horrible don’t go to Pizza Hut 36 bucks for a large pizza and fry’s not cut and under cooked so neat.
